I find first messages hard to compose. There’s an expectation amongst most to write something witty and engaging, without writing war and peace, at the same time a simple “hey, how’s it going” is too little.
But ironically if you tried a cheesy chat up line or started monologuing in real life you’re a ‘weirdo’.
