What’s boosted your ego today?

Mine was whilst stuck in roadworks, I looked down into he car next to me. The lady in the passenger seat looked up and gave me a huge wink and smile. It fair lifted my day. |

I had lunch with someone today.
Prior to going to meet this person for lunch, I looked at myself in the mirror and thought ffs, I look and feel unattractive today.
I decided to go and enjoy myself anyway rather than give the thoughts in my head room to ruin my time with the person.
The person I shared lunch with immediately commented on how lovely I looked when I otherwise felt unattractive. They didn’t know I wasn’t feeling amazing today. It wasn’t just their compliment but the way they gave me the compliment that boosted my ego on a day I was feeling deflated.

A deliveryman in Ryman smiled at me and said charmingly “You look very nice”, then the salesman in the till added “She is lovely, I hope you don't mind” Made my day. X |
