hidden profiles

Why do people hide there profiles, just wondered if anyone hides thieres and what the reasons are

Because the option is there and people can use the option.

People don't have to give a reason why they have their profile hidden.

I sometimes hide mine to catch up on, and avoid more mail. I also hide it if I'm not playing, taking a rest, going on holiday etc. xxx

People hide them for all sorts of reason....

because they are away on holiday

because they are taking time out from swinging

because they want to avoid getting mail for a time

...

just because they can.

and why not...it's their profile and their choice

seems like a fair question to me, providing it is asked out of curiosity and a desire to learn about the scene rather than questioning people's right to hide thier profiles for any reason.

I wish more people would ask questions of things they are unsure of but with the amount of negatives to questions asked on the site I can understand some peoples reluctance.

Yes, asking questions to find out other peoples views or to find out something you do don't know about is great for forums and what they are all about.

But for the reason in your first paragraph, can potentially start wars.

Mine is hidden at the moment... why? Because I felt like it. There are some other reasons but that's the most important one

It's me they were having a pop at regarding my hidden profile.......

Why doesn't the Op just ask me directly why it's hidden? Or ask one of the Pussy Posse directly?

OOhhh I know why....... because it's none of their dam business and they would get pretty short shrift from anyone they asked.

I have chosen to hide my profile for a certain reason, most of the regular forumites know why............

I can hide it......

I have hidden it.....

The site allows me to do so......

And until the site tells me different, I'll play by their and our rules...... not by anyone else's.
