We were all waiting to see if the world would fall apart because of the Millenium bug.....

Does it feel like 10 years to you?

10 years ago I had a husband and 2 small children. Now I am a widow and the kids are nearly grown up. A lot has changed, but I don't really feel any different myself, a bit lonlier I guess but no older!!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone!

No cure for loneliness has to be one of the most sole destroying illnesses known, if you ever feel lonely, feel free to email us, you're under no obligation, but the offer is there should you need it.

ten years ago, on the eve of the millennium, my now deceased lovely was on his back in a herb garden with his legs in the air, his kilt round his ears with a huge stray firework up there! he almost blew up the neighbours car with another rocket and set fire to the shed.... new years celebrations are really quiet without him around lol!

There are many in that same situation as yourself, it doesn't get any more bearable or easy, we just learn to cope with it all a bit better. Unfortunately this time of year is particularly poignant. I extend my arms and give you a virtual hug and hope you feel the empathy xxxx

I know what you mean about coping. This time of year is worse because he went into hospital for the last time on Christmas day! Been away for the last 2 years but the kids wanted to be home this year. Sending hugs back to you any everyone else who is missing someone this Christmas xx

Up North :-)

Well I was rubbing my hands in anticipation.

At the time was working for the internet branch of the company and working new years eve for a wheelbarrow full of cash in case the millennium bug struck! It didn’t and I had 2 days off in lou as well as scarpering with the cash!
