I am really uncomfortable in front of a camera and am completely unphotogenic
I am also conscious that I have little teeth and that my bottom teeth at the front are not straight
So natural pics generally portray me as a toothless wonder
Any pics I have are a kind of awkward, self conscious smirk |

I can't smile on demand and have it look natural, even in the slightest.
Half side smirk kind of deal is the best you get.
If I'm caught in the middle of a natural smile or laugh then it's all good. But the whole "smile, say cheese" kind of thing just does not happen with me. |

I’ve thought about this for a while and wondered if it’s because they don’t get told to smile all the time - even by random strangers - so unlike us they aren’t trained to automatically please the viewer

If women smiled more, that would give me reason to smile more instead of looking at the rbf, but then that would cause women to smile more because men look happier... It's a self sustainable system! Just needs somebody to kick start it |

I feel bad feeling this way now but is how it it is - if I don't get some sort of happy/smiling face picture there is less than zero chance I'll continue speaking or remotely consider meeting the guy.
I like people that are happy and bubbly like me and if you simply don't have one happy smiley photo of you to me it says far more than I need to know about you |

The best way to have a genuine smile in a profile picture is to get it taken by someone who makes you smile without thinking about it.

A) miserable sod
B) brains not paying attention to camera as he’s trying to remember where the 3/8 drive 10mm socket has gone
C) he looks at his face everyday and thinks ‘I’d take me out for a drink but not for my face’
