When is Christmas over?

When do you stop saying happy Christmas and take all the decorations down?

For me it will be this weekend. Get my house back to normality rather than santas grotto

Don't say Merry Christmas or play Christmas music after the actual day. But the decorations stay up until 6th January (12 days of Christmas).

Can't be bothered with these folk who take their decorations down at the end of Christmas Day or on Boxing Day. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life!

Normally as late as possible, within superstition 😂

This year I’m away 3-5 Jan so unless I want to get back and do it then, it’ll have to be 1 or 2 Jan.

"It’s not over until I go back to work in the new year."

But bear in mind we all have to put up with endless Christmas questions until about mid-January

“How was your Christmas?”

“Did you get any good presents?”

“What did you do for New Year’s Eve?”

“Would you like to drive a rusty spike up my hoop?”

Will start taking some of the decorations down tomorrow but the tree will stay up until the 2nd Jan. It all gets swapped out with fairy lights, new candles and a shift around in the general decor for the rest of the winter.

We didn't put up any decorations, and I recycled the Xmas cards this evening. So our house looks normal.

We went out on a run this morning and I wished a family a merry Christmas but that won't happen from tomorrow.

I am going to enjoy the remaining time off with hubby and we will get back to our kitchen renovation tomorrow.

Now is the best time of Christmas for me. I don’t have to leave the house for a week, I’m eating snacks and cheese, and building Lego.

Good show !

We got our tree and boxes of decorations out the loft a week ago. Popped them in a spare room for a "job to do later". We both completely forgot. Oh well. Perhaps next year !
