Yes I do.
Some days I go out to walk the dog looking like death but she loves me anyway.
However I spend so much of my time never feeling good enough and hating how I look that, I have to try to look ok. |

It depends on what I’m leaving the house for, if it’s going out going out then I ensure I’m presentable ( although my parameters for this may be different to others) if it’s just going to work or the shops then I’m not bothered what I look like. |

I think most people will do and as someone said will differ depending on where you are going. Certainly not with hair rollers on (not that I use them) as some people do. Each to their own but my norm is smart casual unless going somewhere thar requires different atire. |

Depends on what I'm doing. I wear similar clothes most of the time, regardless of plans, so that's not too much hassle. If I'm exercising, then I don't really care too much, as I end up a sweaty mess anyway lol. |

I used to be far too concerned and very self conscious. I wouldn't put the bins out without make-up on. Now I don't care, I dress and present myself appropriately for the occasion. Although I do put minimum make-up on to go to the gym, yet I don't when I go outdoors for a run. I'm getting more comfortable now to go out and about without make-up on.

Yes, I like to be fairly presentable, yet comfortable.
In the past I had real problems with being self-conscious about my appearance as a parent said many unkind things. It took years to realise they were just a douche bag, and that not everyone was looking at me with the same thoughts running through their heads.

Yes. Very much.
I’m not vain as such.
And not traditionally pretty. But I have my own unique style, which I spend time on.
I like to look **my** personal brand of best.
My best version of me.
And I also think if you’re meeting someone - it’s polite to show them that you think they deserve your effort. |

I am embarrassed to say, yes I do!
I never used to think I was vain but Rachaelmay has pointed out to me that I am… and I have to say, I think she is right … I am not proud of myself ! |

To a point yes. I wont go out scruffy but I dont go out in full make up and done up.
No one is looking at me & Im just normally getting food etc. If I'm out for longer or meeting someone, I will of course make an effort. |

"Do you Mr P? I bet you do.
I really do. I hate going out looking like, as my mum and nan might say, a raggamuffin. "
I don't think you'd ever look like a raggamuffin, Pickle.
I wouldn't ever go out (apart from to the bin) in jammies; but if I'm out of milk, for instance, and need to whip to the shop, I'll throw on trackie bums and a hoodie.
For work, it's always smart casual; otherwise it depends where I'm off to.
But always washed and brushed (unless previous point applies) |

Depends why I'm leaving the house.
I never have and never will go outside in my PJs but I don't tart myself up to do the school run. It's rare I dress up nowadays anyway. I'm usually knocking around in leggings or jeans and trainers. I don't wear make up and I rarely do my hair other than tie it up. I don't particularly care what people think about how I look, the scarier the better then they will leave me alone. |

I like looking smart, it is like my armour out in the World. If I am to be judged on how I look then I want to look good!
I tend to be quite conservative in my dress, with mainly greys and blues. I envy men who are able to carry of style statements with say a shaven head and full beard. |

Yes, I do, not extensively though. I stopped wearing make up, even for club visits, a year or so ago (never did the "wallpaper style" make up anyway), so what you see is what you get. Clothes- when I'm working, I need to be comfortable and it needs to be something that it's not going to be a huge issue if it gets dirty.
As I live in jeans/leggings and trainers during the week, I do like to dress up a little bit at the weekends.
If I'm clubbing, then my attire will depend on whether it's a dress down club or not, but will still not be just jeans/leggings and a T-shirt or jumper.
My hair- most of the time, I don't care as long as it's tidy and not in my face all the time. |

Care based on my own opinion or that of others? If it's my opinion the only worry is am I comfortable. (Warm, comfortable clothing etc) other than that no, I'll happily wear black blue and brown together of I'm comfortable lol.

"Not always.
If I’m meeting people, I’ll make some effort. If not, then I’ll bung on my comfies and to hell with strangers opinions. "
This for sure!! Hair slept back hat on make up what's that then?? |

"I wouldn’t say I don’t care, I mostly make an effort but I have no problem leaving the house in a hoodie/leggings etc with no makeup on and my hair swept back without even looking in the mirror."
That pretty much encapsulates my philosophy on the subject. |

"Yeah, I care.
But I also wear lipstick and lingerie for lazing around the house days.
I like to look good for me. Whether other people see or appreciate it isn't the point 💜"
I admire that desire to put such effort in just for oneself.
I'd do it if it was additive for me, but I am at my happiest clean and comfy in my hoodie and slippers 😆 |

And there's nothing wrong with that approach either. I don't care what people wear so long as they're happy and comfortable, and appropriately covered for the context 💜 |

Yes, but I don't get dolled up to go to the Local shop.
I used to wear make up every day, hair done etc, but I am much more confident now and I am happy to go out with no make up on, in jeans and jumper with a messy bun. People think I'm 15-20 years younger than I am so I'll carry on as long as I can. 😆 |

Mostly, yes. I am less concerned when just dropping off at school, though I always get properly dressed. Now I have to come home after the school run for a shower on certain days and so I'm having to tolerate the crazy hair that I'd previously have not tolerated.
I do try and make an effort to look presentable, no matter what. |
