The last 3 nights we've watched:
Blink Twice - Shit
Chloe - not bad but a bit predictable
Gone - shit
Chloe and Gone have Amanda Seyfried with clothes off so they get points for that! |

The V/H/S movies are currently my favourite Horror franchise. Don’t watch any trailers, just go in ignorance.
I loved the Liberace biopic Behind The Candelabra.
Documentary? SEX - The Annabelle Chong Story.
She was the pre-internet Bonnie Blue

The film The Apprentice
So good, so clever, and the right time to watch it
Jeremy Strong's performance is superb
I liked Lee, Conclave, All of Us Strangers and Young Woman and the Sea too

I finally got around to watching the new Nosferatu.
Hmmm….interesting; visually sumptuous and very well acted although sadly left me a bit cold.
Worth a watch though if only to make up your own mind 😃 |

Pig, with Nicholas Cage.
Apart from the artistic cinematography which was gorgeous, I came away quite surprised that NC actually *can* act when he puts his mind to it.
.
Pig is a deep and meaningful film on so many levels and we chatted about it afterwards for quite a while.
Ex Machina is also in that category. |

There a film called "centurion"..
Set in the UK about 2000 years ago, under roman rule.
There's a group of celtic tribal people that are slaughtering roman settlements/ forts near the boarder in the north of england.
..So rome sends a hard-as-nailz gladiator and his band of renegades that he's amassed from various parts of the globe to try and sort it out.
It's an action film. Pretty violent.
What I like about it though is all the corruption / politics within all sides that it highlights...I found that aspect interesting.
(It's by the same guy that made dog soldiers. ) |

Longlegs also a nick cage film.
Quite slow and atmospheric.
Cage's character was absolutely nuts he acted it perfectly and definitely upped the creepy scale, worth a look if you like films like silence of the lambs.

I watched the Robbie Williams film 'Better Man' today, I really enjoyed it.
I didn't expect it to be very good even though I've always liked Robbie Williams, but I did think it was very well made. |

"I haven't watched anything new for ages, but I recently re-watched V for Vendetta - the teenagers loved it, and Her. I enjoyed both."
Agreed. Excellent film and young ones really enjoyed it too.
The Gorge is not bad but Robots with Jack Whitehall is meh.
They were my weekend movie choices. |

If your a bit of a film connoisseur, esp comedy, watch the 5 full length films by Jacque Tati, very little dialogue but packed with hilarious visual gags, Mr Hulots Holiday, Mon Oncle, and Playtime in that order , and full versions available on YouTube.

"The last film I watched was called Henry Portrait of a serial killer. A friend at university had it and it’s just as uplifting as I remember it being.
Not one for a Sunday night!"
'Man Bites Dog' was another 90's serial killer film well worth a watch. Dark Dark humour. I had it on VHS but haven't seen it for years. |

"Beast with Idis Elba was on the other day, that was pretty gripping but haven't watched it all the way through. "
Watched this through the other night. It's good visually but it's overall annoying in it's characters and general predicability |

Smile 2 was so good. Way better than I expected and it definitely beat the original. That corridor scene still creeps me out |

Going to watch marching powder
Ooh I might watch Conclave later (assuming I don't fall asleep on the sofa- likely). Have heard great things!"
Conclave well worth watch
Just seen A Working Man and Novacaine, both watchable and not taxing on the brain |

I'll do my best. I struggle watching films on my own at home. Much better with someone there so I have to focus. Curses to my short attention span. |

‘La Vie en rose’ is a wonderful film. It’s in French with subtitles but I remember it being in English. It is a biographical musical film about the life of French singer Édith Piaf. The actin go is superb and the story truly engaging.
‘A very long engagement’ is another wonderful film. Based in France it tells the story of. Woman’s search for her fiancé lost in world war 1. It is full of heart and soul, sweet and dreamy . I can’t reccomenx it enough. |

"Just watched Sinners today... Great film and OMG a stunning soundtrack 🎥 🎶"
It’s one of those rare occasions where I just don’t connect with a film. I know a lot of people love it. I found it really on the nose and unoriginal, and pretty boring in parts |

For those who are into horror, I just watched MadS.
It’s new (came out late 2024). I don’t want to spoil the plot but it’s decent and it’s all in one shot. It’s on Amazon Prime |

The latest few films I saw were:
Gladiator 2: Meh. Nothing special 🤷🏽♂️
The wild robot: almost made me cry on a few occasions. Was sweet
A Minecraft Movie: Absolutely stupid movie but hilarious!
Lilo and Stitch: Cute. Good for kids. |

Couldn't agree more...totally charming film you can watch over and over again.
In a similar vein, try What We Did On Our Holiday... hilarious |
