I'm preparing for retirement and starting to think about what I enjoy doing
I've just recently got myself a nice bridge camera which is keeping me busy and I'm learning how to crochet tomorrow, well hopefully if it's not too complicated!
Tell me what your hobbies are... other perving on fab +sex 🤣🤣... and why you enjoy them 🙏🙏

My hobbies tend to infuriate townies who have watched too many disney movies and think all animals are super cute and will help with the dishes, but at least my hobbies fill my freezer with meat |

Photography (wildlife and landscapes), volunteering for blood bike charity, riding motorcycle, scuba (less so of late lost my mojo). All of these activities are quite costly so what is this retirement you speak of 🤔 |

I have a few
Dungeons and dragons - great for socialising with my nerdy group of friends
Console gaming - great for working things through in my head
Recently joined a bonfire society - great for burning thi... Ehem, I mean, getting involved in the community raising money for charities and meeting new people
Painting miniatures - great for artistic expression
I think that'll do for now |

Oh, lots of reading. Lots of film-watching. Listening to music. Pointing out to people who call themselves carnivores because they think it makes them sound hard that they're actually omnivores. Watching footie. The usual, really. |

I can draw my state pension in 7 months - can't afford stop work though, too many things. My dilemma is do I draw and cut down on work, do I defer for 4 years but not trusting governments not to screw me over yet again over pensions. Or do I draw and bung it all in a private pension for four years - my actual planned retirement is 70.
A lot of conversations to have with my accountant come April |

I started two new hobbies in the last few years, the gym is the first one and that has been a revelation, people are genuinely friendly and I have made some new friends/acquaintances. The second is trail walking and hiking just the fresh air is so good. Good luck Joe |

Wood carving, got a ton of wood to carve after the recent storms.
Inventing devices and gadgets, work related but doing it for myself instead.
See a challenge, invent and design.
I always get slowed down when I remember Steve Martin in the film The Jerk.
Doing more cooking, again inventing new recipes and dishes. Crispy jelly was a bit different.
Getting into AI, I like the idea of bringing old photos to moving images.
Arty crafty stuff, big Bob Ross fan would like to try his style, without the wacking great tree in the foreground.
Starting a niche porn site may be.

I built and “play” electronic instruments.
Purely for my own enjoyment.
Climbing, walking, cycling. Bit too porky to be any good but it’s still fun.
“Bouldering” is really accessible. No gear needed, just hire some shoes. Indoors, warm, dry, low risk. No rope skills required. Still feels exciting. |
