"Those "guys" you speak of are proffering to be 'hinged' as opposed to unhinged, of which there are many on here of the opposite sex. 😉"
I don't disagree with you, I rarely get messages off females
I guess we all have different likes, dislikes but that's not what I mean by normal |

"Typical, average, within societally acceptable bounds.
I don't think you can deem yourself normal. It's up to others"
Yes, this - it's what people believe society deems as normal, whereas my normal might be completely different (and more interesting ) |

"I think that would mean not a crazy/possessive type maybe? Basically not a danger to society😂
I would agree sadly not always the case "
Yeah that’s the thing, it’s something that can only be proven with time rather than ‘claimed’ I think. |

Usually normal would describe one with behaviours that conform to the most common ones in society. However, normal can often only be recognized in contrast to abnormal that is much more easily recognisable

I find those 'who wants to be normal, anyway, ugh' comments fascinating.
I think those of us that stick out and can never be entirely socially acceptable for whatever reason would definitely like to feel 'normal' sometimes.
How lucky for those of you that can choose that or not. |

'Normal' is shaped by both experience and societal expectations
My experience will differ from yours and yours from mine, yet we will be more alike than we are different
I guess that makes us normal |

"I often get guys saying they are normal, so define normal?
It usually means dull.
If there was a filter for normal I'd have it on. "
I think it goes the other way too. Those who try really hard to distance themselves from what might be perceived as normal. Those that are so different and by extension interesting.... usually aren't. |

Completely agree.
I'm not normal. 99% of the population aren't trans. There's no getting away from it and I'm not hiding, so it's a point if interest and a conversation that has to be had with prospective partners but it's not my whole life.
There's plenty of other things that make me me. There's also a hell of a lot of people for whom their transition is their whole personality.
That goes for a lot of people though - their jobs, hobbies, the book they've just read. If you've only got one thing to talk about it doesn't matter how unusual or "abnormal", I'm sorry but I'm gonna start yawning eventually. |

Can I just say keep being you. Being different doesn't mean to me you aren't normal!
You are you, you are unique as we all are even if we have differences again doesn't make you not normal x |

"Majority of people who say they are not normal are as dullas ditch water.
Majority of people fit under the umbrella as normal whether they like it or not.
I'm happy to be normal"
My dishwater currently has spicy sauce floating on top and bubbles in it, I'm happy with that |

No such thing. Each persons definition of normal is coloured by their own experiences and what others around them have told them. There is such a thing as social norms. A collective set of unwritten rules that as a society we agree to in general. |

Everyone's normal is different "
Maybe what they perceive to be the average behaviour of others. To be honest, sounds a little boring. I guess when it comes to behaviour it may in some respects better being average joe that some lunatic. He but how many head the balls did you meet that said ‘I’m ahead the ball’? 😂 |
