New nail place. Language barrier strong. Neither of us spoke a single word of the others language.

Asked for what I usually get with gesture to my currant nails. Not understood. Ok. Picture. A nod.

The exact opposite of what I wanted. I got to the til and he shook his head. No charge.

I have no idea what happened. why I was there for 3 hours? why do I have nails I didn’t ask for? Why was it free? I love silly situations like this. We both laughed at not being able to understand each other and I got a story out of it. Plus, most importantly, my nails done for free!

I cut my Dad's hair, what remains (he's still in hospital). It was both happy (seeing him looking a bit fresher) and sad (him getting his timelines all muddled). I feel awful that he's still there
