Depends on the movie. Generally colour but there are some that are in black and white that are great.

Psycho

Everyone thinks of the red blood down the shower but it's b+w. They used caramel as it gave a greater contrast than blood.

I watch a lot of b&w movies, although you need a good print/restoration version. I love classic film noir like The Big Sleep and Double Indemnity, the use of dark and light perfectly mirrors the mood and plot.

Rear Window is class. Actually, all three films could have secondary meanings 🤭🤓

Rear Window is my favourite Hitchcock, amazing what he achieved with that set.

Rear Widow could be a great username.

I can't treat this as either/or because there are so many great films in both. That said, I absolutely agree about film noir.

Has to be in colour for me. Which is odd because I always prefer B&W photos! 🤷‍♀️

Neither. Watch both. A good movie is a good movie no matter if it's bw or colour.
