Following on from Sparkle1974's thread, how many times have you relocated in your adult life? As in moved city or country.

6 big moves between three cities for me over the years.

Growing up we moved every three months. So once I was an adult on my own I used to follow a similar pattern for a good few years. Couldn't say how many moves, but a lot. Double digits for cities at least.

But I've settled some roots back in Cumbria. It's nice owning more than I can carry in a single journey 💜

Lived in 3 other countries the longest being the us from 1999 to 2016. But even that 1ci moved states from VA to WI.

As and adult - 18 times in 30 years with the furthest move being a move to Australia for just a year.....and that does not include any of my deployments....

Fled DV from ex nearly 4 years ago and never looked back, happily remarried now. Left with 3 carrier bags and 2 kids. Left 20 years of my life behind. Moved to the other end of the country. Best thing I ever did

I think about 7 times, usually for work but twice for schools when the children were young.

Last move was after the divorce, at the same time my lawyer moved to the 7 bedroom villa in the Bahamas

4 moves up and down the country, 3 moves within one city and 2 within each of the other two. There'll be one last move back home to the north when I feel I need to be near my kids for support.

From Yorkshire down to Devon here and many in between.

I like being nomadic but finding it harder now. Still aiming for another move abroad in a couple of years though.
