The Batcave, nr. Cannock

So who do you think is the best all round or your favourite backing vocalist for any band or artists you listen to?

Could be any genre.. instrumentalist aswell or not etc...

For me... it's

ADAM DUTKIEWICZ from Killswitch Engage/Times of Grace

As a complimentary voice... it just has the right amount of 'tamber' to compliment either Howard or Jesse on main vocals.. plus, on certain Times of Grace tracks he's given the full reign of spotlight on a couple of tracks.

I urge you to listen to:-

Times of Grace - "Cold" where he takes centre stage. His voice is just phenomenal.

And his backing parts in the bridge for:-

Killswitch Engage - "Rose of Sharyn"

Not to mention all the production work he does behind the scenes for his bands and other bands.

Discuss who's your favourite banking vocalist?

Somewhere In The Ether…

Right, I’m likely to get a bit of stick for this…

In terms of backing vocal HARMONIES, That That are quite exceptional.

I was unfamiliar with any of these names, so I Googled this track to find out what I had been missing.

After around 30 seconds of incoherent tuneless shouting, I stopped it.

À chacun son goût.

Thanks for the steer, but I'll stick to music.

It's pretty hard to beat the assembled multitudes behind The Big O for the Black And White Night session.

Afrodiziak. Something about Caron Wheeler and Claudia Fontaine together just worked.

Michael Anthony from Van Halen.

Those songs would suck without his input.
