Games that would make a great film?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Manic Miner.
Wanted: Monty Mole.
Both could take on a British Indiana Jones/Goonies vibe, with perilous underground traps while questing fortune and glory in subterranean environments.
Both games has sequels, so lots of room for follow-ups! |

"What PC or console game do you think would make a great film adaptation? (That hasn't already been done, of course)
I'll suggest these ones:-
HALF LIFE
GRAND THEFT AUTO
SKYRIM
THE DIVISION
Discuss "
They did a 30min short of the division at launch of game. It’s on Amazon / YouTube |

Nintendo's Starwing/Starfox: A fox in space
This is a work in progress, by Ice cream man and is on YT, it explains the whole backstory in an animated format. short but considering the effort involved, this has been a long time coming. |

We recently watched the Super Mario Brothers Movie. The recent animated one, not the one with Bob Hoskins in.
It was actually entertaining and enjoyable, unlike a lot of the slop being made these past few years.
Provided it's done right most things can be made into good movies and shows. When it's done wrong it ends up like Amazon Lord of the Cringe, Halo, or Borderlands. |

"I'm still sore about the Assassins Creed movie 😩 can we remake it? "
It was so bad, I'd love to see a director who has skin in the game get his hands on it, and do a proper job of making it. |

As of recent speculation, a new "Assassin's Creed" film is rumored to be in development, potentially starring Tom Cruise and taking inspiration from the "Assassin's Creed II" storyline, focusing on Ezio Auditore da Firenze, with a possible departure from the previous film's narrative which starred Michael Fassbender; however, no official confirmation regarding the project has been made yet. |

F.E.A.R
Heavy Rain
The Ascent
Cyberpunk 2077 (probably have to be a series. They would probably just do like they did with The Last of Us though and make it piss poor by comparison. Altered Carbon on netflix is pretty much a prequel to Cyberpunk. Series 1 is brilliant)
Max Payne (oh wait, they made that one but it was shit) |

'Saustralia, here we come, you snivelling little oink!' RIP Rik Mayall. The intro was brilliant, they just need to carry it on like that. Leff, leff, leff, roi, leff!' |

MDK. Earth is being invaded by alien mine-crawlers in Derbyshire, California and a few other places. Nothing like a cleaner and a dog with big floppy ears, 4 arms and a bad cigar habit to get things done. |

How many am I allowed?
Clocktower
The Room
Banner Saga
Bioshock
Deus Ex
Dishonored
Dragon Age: Origins
Any Elder Scrolls
Myst
XCOM
All have potential but with games very rarely translating well to the big screen I wouldn't hold my breath. |

We still know so little about that yet. It's on, then it's off, then it's off again. Still don't know if it's going to be 30k or 40k. I hope that they leave Cavill alone to get on with it. He has such a passion for the hobby and lore just like he did with the Witcher. |

Constantly Travelling With Work |
How about we make movies based on original ideas, like we used to.
A method that gave us movies like The Goonies, Raiders Of The Lost Arch, Flight Of The Pheonix, and so many more.
Games are games |

"Tom Clancy's Splintercell.
Good shout. Really enjoyed the storys of the first few games.
I hear that it is being rebooted."
That's something I would be interested in. I really liked the stealth gameplay so that would have to be a must for me. Don't mind a little gunplay but that's not what I'm in it for. To me that's not a Spintercell game |

Analogue wise, Saw a film Real Steel with Hugh Jack man, reminded me of Raving Bonkers boxing game a 70's game.
Got to be Operation and a horror version.
Digital wise Rumble Rose's a bit like Dead or Alive.

"Sleeping Dogs, Metro series (think a series or trilogy set of movies are in the works), Streets of Rage, Shadow of the Beast and The Saboteur to name a few."
Wow, forgot about sleeping dogs. What a game. May have to download this for another playthrough. The Metro books they based the games on are brilliant |
