Looking for some pointers on good action cams or camcorders. Of course there is gopro, but there must be a dupe out there that's less pricey and does the job.
Hoping to record some of our action :p so must record well in low light. 4k upwards resolution. Inbuilt/detachable screen a must. If it does stills it's a big bonus!

I'd use a phone if you have a decent one.
Way better quality than an action cam/go pro, can easily be mounted on a stand, even attached to a head mount/chest mount.
Easier to edit and add content straight away and no need to buy additional equipment.
The majority of newer smartphones will film in 4k (mine does 8k but that's overkill) and built in editing software is effective and quick. |
