Does everybody have an internal dialogue when they think or is it just me? ( to clarify this further, i hear my thoughts in my head in my own voice) Also, is it your own voice or just a random one?.

Roundabouts.

I mean it’s not. It’s there. I’m looking at it. It’s not roundabout anything. It’s in a specific place. I can give ya coordinates.

If I'm reading my own typing it's my own voice. If it's someone else's words I hear what I think they sound like.

Unless it's an autobiography by someone like Brian Blessed or Corey Taylor. In which case it's shouting or screaming.

Why didn't they use a simpler word for dyslexia? Maybe something that was easy for those with it to spell...

I do... but always in my own voice. I also don't visualise, so that dialogue is the entirety of my thinking.

So, I also have an internal voice and when I'm thinking, I think in my own voice and can hear the words just faster than I could speak them.

The people who *don't* have an internal voice... What happens when you think? like if your thoughts don't come accompanied with an internal monologue how do you experience them?

Genuinely curious

My husband can't imagine hearing a voice saying his thoughts in he's head, he says it just quiet and thoughts pop in. He honestly thinks I'm lying and I'm making it up!.

But I'm neurodivergent and my brain works very differently to a neurological brain. My husband says that he's mind is blown that I can see 3d images of my thoughts, if I think of a number I can see a big 3d image of it in my mind at the same time. Also, I can visualize 3d objects and turn them around and see them from all angles in my mind.
