I've dyed my hair all my life since I was 12. But in the last year I'm now my natural colour as I'm proud of the fact at 60 I have little to no grey hair.
I have had it a few colours that afterwards I thought what the fuck |

"I dyed it once, late 90's when the bleached look was the in thing. BUT, it didn't work and I ended up Ginger. No, I didn't regret it, looked cool as fuck and rocked it the whole summer!"
As long as you liked it |

"Always dyed mine. Never regretted it. I love being a different persona
Being someone different would be great right now! "
Then just do it. It's only hair. You can always fix it if it looks awful. |

No, I didn't regret it, looked cool as fuck and rocked it the whole summer!" when I first started seeing my Ex her lad wanted to dye his hair ginger to be like me, he was 4, she dyed it with one of those dyes that wash out after a week, the only thing wrong it took about 6 months to go

Like you, I'm a natural born redhead and was incredibly nervous about changing it, mostly because of all the horror stories of red hair turning green!
I had a few highlights added, which I loved.
Once I had my kids, my hair went platinum and again I'd left it alone until a couple of years go, when I experimented with a few coloured wigs. Since then, I've had it pink, purple, blue, and now undercut with Ferrari red. I love the new bounce it's given me.

Underneath the years of hair dye, I am also a ginger .
I've had many colour changes over the years. Blonde, brown ,purple ,various shades of red and back to honey and even black.
I've been brunette a few years now and prefer it but sometimes I regret it |

"Nope.
I've been every colour of the rainbow and loved them all.
I'm just a bit worried that I'll hate it the second I do it! "
I'd go and have a consultation with a good hairdresser. You definitely don't have to do anything quickly.
I'd be very wary of DIY colour for you if you're a dye newbie. |

I change my hair colour regularly and have never regretted it. If I dont like it, I change it again. It's currently two different colours because the previous one didn't cover as well as it should have but I still like it. Next is green, a lot of people think it's weird but I'm excited to see it a totally different colour again. |

The thing is with hair dye... its not fully permanent. It washes out eventually... if you do it and you aren't keen then it will eventually wash out.
If you aren't sure you can get semipermanent that washes out even quicker.
I've never regretted dying my hair, but I've always gone for a strong red which isn't too wacky these days... |

Yes it does. I'm pale but it doesn't wash me out. I looked worse blonde |

I've usually done mine dark purple or red over the years. Usually goes in phases of doing it when I get bored of my natural colour up until I get bored with the faff of colouring it.
I would like to try more of the blues/greens etc but think that would involve bleaching my hair first and again don't think I can be bothered, also not sure it would suit me, but I do love seeing it on others. |

I've been all colours thro my life but went from deep cherry red to blonde due to being a bit older and I loved it , I went on to add silver tones and it was lush ..... I went for my usual appointment and decided there and then I wanted something different and when asked I said pink ! I've never been pink so I've now got my top half of my hair blonde with silver tones and very pink at the bottom half and I LOVE it

I think it's the thought of putting bleach on my hair and ruining it x |

Ps , I have stopped doing it myself after the dark red cos of the amount of mess ups I've had and the hair damage so I only do it via hairdressers now
I'd recommend trying wigs first to see if you'd suit the colour plus you can try all colours then without the cost and damage to your hair
I do tan and helps me carry the colour off but if I was to be my more natural tone it wouldn't suit me x |

Go for a temporary colour that washes out. Then you will know which suits with no regrets. Or find a hairdresser that will advise on colours that suit your skin and face shape. May even do strand testing colour to help you decide |

I've been trying to go red with permanent colours but it kept going orange and washing out to pink. Not hideous but not the pillar box red I was after. Gone back to semi permanent and that's worked but redoing it every couple of weeks is a pain. |

Even though I am naturally brunette, it's more towards the auburn end of the brown scale. I also have a zillion freckles and very pale skin, so I need to be cautious when colouring my hair that I don't end up too dark because it simply drains me of colour from an already pale complexion and then I look like a witch.
This is why I stay well clear of home dye kits and go to a hairdressers every 6 weeks for cut and root colour. I have a balayage with slightly darker root smudge and then we leave the auburn brown throughout the rest of my hair. It suits me, it's natural and warm looking.

Only when I tried a copper in my youth and it went bright orange
I've so much grey, a full head colour only lasts a few weeks before the roots show, so I stick to toners the same brunette as mine and it turns the greys blonde, so it looks like I have highlights again |
