Royal Mail is a crap service
Jump to: Newest in thread
Three out of three fails:
1. Changed delivery date. Received confirmation. Parcel arrives on original date.
2. Repeat of 1.
3. Delivery date not changed. Parcel not delivered.
I'd never pay for it's crap services. Sadly I buy things and those companies use their crap services. |

I am finding now instead of getting post every day it’s more like twice a week now but all comes together.
So I assume they have cut down the amount of rounds that they do
I guess in a world where we are going more and more paperless it’s becoming less needed and now they are competing against all the white van delivery drivers |

"There are a lot of things wrong with Royal Mail. It starts at the top and filters through to the bottom.
Sounds like my foreplay."
But is it first or second class? |

Your foreplay sounds fine as long as you deliver "
Like the postie I used to come twice a day but now twice a week is optimistic |

It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so bloody expensive. I had a shock buying a first class stamp the other day, haven't bought one in years |

Couldn’t disagree more I use Royal Mail special delivery possibley10-20 times per week and only once had to claim back postage for it arriving late and never lost a parcel, so for me Royal Mail is number 1 |

The parcel service is great, it’s the letters that fail. |

It's because the management don't listen to what the people want & decide what they think works best for them.
I'm a ex-postie myself & left 2.5 years ago because I didn't like the direction the company was going, wanted a better work/life balance & a full-time job having been on a part-time contract all the time I was there
And after I left, of the 25 staff I left behind 2.5 years ago, only 3 remain it made everyone (including those that didn't strike during 2022) really think about their futures.
Even after leaving all that time ago, I still get old customers come up to me in the street & wish I was still delivering their post plus on a recent grocery, ran into 1 former colleague who still works there who was doing his shop while still doing his job with his PDA (used as a tracking device too).
As much as I respect the thoughts & feelings of my ex-customers, truth is the top sadly don't really care bout the social relationship between the customer and postie as it's greed-driven by the need to make money Glad I left when I did but do miss that social aspect badly especially as that's the biggest downer in my current job |

Royal Mail aren't perfect. But they're definitely the best of a bad bunch.
Every other service, Evri, Model, DPD and Amazon have all kindly left expensive parcels on my doorstep and fucked off, saying they've been delivered.
Royal Mail at least shove a card through the door and try and redeliver, before telling me I need to pick it up from the sorting office.
The others just lie with their tracking, say delivery has been attempted when you know it hasn't because you've been sat indoors in silence in case they tap the door with a feather rather than ring the bell. And 'delivery' apparently means left out in the rain, in full view of people passing or being left hanging out of your letterbox because the bag is twice the size but squeezing the corner of it in means it's on your property. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Thankfully I can redirect all of them to petrol stations less than a mile away where they won't get nicked.
Give me Royal Mail any day of the week. |

To be fair my postwoman is brilliant, if it's a small parcel she'll put it in the electric box and leave a card and if it's a bit bigger she pops round later at the end of her round when she knows I'll be home. Evri on the other are total morons. |

"No Evri is the worst. Especially when you speak to customer service and it’s just an AI generated answering service. "
I had that once, worst thing ever andva perpetual circle of getting nowhere. |
