These days on here, the forums seem to be turning into a playground.

Gone are the days where a topic remained on point

It's no wonder new people don't get involved......sad times!

I was thinking how much better the forums had started to get again. More people joining in. Was one suspect thread today but that was fun to watch.

Guess we see what we want to see

I guess we all have our own interpretations (be boring if we all thought the same)

Yes saw that thread....it's funny how a topic can turn so quickly on it's head x

I don’t think it’s been any different in the 10 years I’ve been on and off them. I remember when I first joined seeing threads about how they used to be better.

Pretty much this. They ebb and flow, people come and go, you like some and you don’t like others. If I’m not enjoying it I take a step back.

Nostalgia’s not what it used to be though, right?

It looks like Trump's trade wars are going to drive America into a recession. Where America goes the world follows. Better fasten our seatbelts.

I’ve been on here a few years now

And I’ve only just started to use it

It’s nice to kinda chat/ text

As a man at least I get a reply on a forum,

When I message someone I mostly get ignored

Or most probably the amount of message ladies get mine gets lost in the pile or deleted as a block without a look

It’s nice to talk x

I’ve been here about 8 months and find I definitely join in less.

They are quite boring and repetitive and I’m going to say it - cliquey.

Also a lot of the people who purport to be all happy and shiny and nicely in public are anything but behind the scenes.

Like you say OP a thread quite often is hijacked by the usual protagonists.

I agree with this too … there has been more of a buzz the past few days. I’ve also noticed more new names popping up and their interaction which I had not seen for a little while.

Might just be me, but the forums have felt a bit … off, it’s not easy to interact when you’re worried about having your hand bitten off or one slight faux-pas

I agree with op, some of the forums/threads need to stay on subject, instead of being turned into a joke, I tend to keep it on point in other forums/threads, however I use the lounge for a giggle and a laugh with others.

Isn't the 'staying on point' concept a bit subjective?

Sometimes it feels a bit playground when a thread doesn't go the way someone wanted or expected and they metaphorically stamp their feet and say that's it I am going and I am taking my ball home.

I think sometimes what we consider mature or adult is really just a more convoluted expression of the same fundamental emotions we wore on our sleeves as children.

I think it’s always been the same, your not always going to like everybody and little groups do form but many forget it’s just an online forum and meant to be fun, not taken personally.

Not as fast moving and busy as they once seemed.

There is definitely less angst on here than there has been over the years.

Always the same 7-10 people replying amongst them… 🥱 🥱 🥱

But it’s always been like that. Difference is that the cl…group of 7-10 changes with time.

Forum regulars, cliques, the usual suspects are totally a normal thing in any forum.

The difference I find is in the level of inclusivity and how newbies are received and encouraged. Even on fab it varies wildly from section to section.

I think sometimes some people forget that not every thread is a chat room in the lounge.

It's all swinging and roundabouts though. Getting over invested in an online forum probably isn't good for the head whether you feel like your in or your out.

the forums will only go one way as more and more men flood in and thats the wanky way..

add in those who think the forums is theirs and wont ollow others opinions then no wonder so few couples or women get involved i belive most the couples on the forums are male led too ..

but for me the forums are by far the least important area of fab as its is with most its a tiny tiny % that use it so tiny it really means zero to most ..and of course there feels like their are less women and couples on fan now and indeed the scene thats being filled by men that want port and wanking fantasies because they cant swing..

and no im far from anti men as im only on fab for guys .. if can find the ones i like

no im not saying that as such its just the site has attracted many many more men than couples and women and with it being so one sided that its bound to have changed but its that change that is putting off women and couples from the scene ..

if your a swinger you have to navigate to avoid all those non swingers and the facts are most are men ...most of the forum post are men the forums are reparenting the majority and that is men its just the way its is so many wanting the very little looking look at all the moany post 99% men ... so no noty picking on men its just what it is

I comment on posts I want to comment on and then leave - I used to get completely caught up in the forums but mostly it’s just like pissing in the wind…

There aren’t many threads to comment on now though and I just avoid the people or threads that I find tedious.
