Looking for any advice or reasons for or against getting nipples pierced please?
Getting my nipples pierced (and a few other piercings) I've toyed with the idea back and forth for a while
I've heard that getting nipples pierced can make them less sensitive (I quite like how sensitive mine are and don't ideally want to lose any sensitivity) and I've heard that the healing process can be between 6-12 months? (Surely no one on here can go that long without having them touched, played with, licked...?)
Thank you for any feedback |

The healing process is just a guide to how long before you can take the piercings out to change them to different piercings and how long you have to be careful (ish) with them, keep the piercing clean etc.
Some find nipple piercings increase sensitivity, others it decreases.
Find yourself a good piercer. Chat to them about anything concerns you have and take it from there.

Reasons for?
You want to.
I've only had one done because I was really worried about sensitivity loss - I'd heard similar to you and I'm too fond of nipple stimulation/orgasms to want to give that up. I also heard people say it's incredibly painful.
What I'll say? Type really but it's early. You can't predict what will happen with yours. My pain threshold is quite high and I thought my piercer was readjusting the clamps, not that it was done.
It hurt when I caught it on a lacy bra, stupidly worn a few days after getting it done. I waited about six weeks before they were back in action. I'm not recommending that, use your own judgememt.
I'm thinking about booking in for my other one next month. |

I had both mine done recently and had no problems, it was more throbbing pain afterwards for me that was uncomfortable than having the piercings themselves but that only lasted a week or so.I like how mine look and made the mistake of twizzling my nipple rings too much and the ball fell off one of them. I had to put it back on , but as said above everyone is different. My nipples don't feel any different but they weren't sensitive to begin with. Get a good piercer and follow the aftercare guidance, you'll be fine |

Few tips though!
Don’t twist them
Get yourself some lavender oil every now and then as I found it really helped prevent crusting and sticking
Ensure you also use it or some other lube when changing bars/rings. Makes it much easier to get the piercings in |

I had mine done for 10 years before I took them out, they always flared up if it was cold or I knocked them, my nipples are much more sensitive without them.
10/10 wouldn’t recommend, but I guess it all depends on how your body takes them, as everyone will be different |

Please please do not use oil on any piercing that is still new ish. It will prevent healing. Salt and water is all you need to cleanse the area. Trust me I have enough to know. |

I'd wanted to get my nipples pierced for awhile (and even agreed that if my bf came with me to hold my hand I'd do it) but actually I don't even have my ears pierced as I find that too much work. So I honestly just don't think I'm the right person to maintain any kind of piercing They look hot though. |

I have one of mine, really want to go and get the other done next time I have a free day… mine actually enhanced the sensitivity… but they’ve never been overly sensitive anyways.
Healing can take a long time… more so that they just randomly start to scab and heal again… have had mine 2.5yrs and they’ve only recently stopped randomly trying to heal.
I also wanna get other areas done 😂 |

Quite the reverse! Hurts like fuck at first. Hubby didn't know it was getting done. Also pussy. Was a rebound from his affair, you need a good reason. But yes I found it made everything more exciting. But. Do it for YOU!! Xxxx |

I had mine done about 15 years ago and regretted it almost immediately. The piercings kept getting caught on bra's and anything else possible. Then after about a year, I let them close up. Too much hassle, I found. |

For me sensitivity increased having both of them done.
I found they are one of the easiest piercings to heal, however like someone has already said.. they will be out of action for a little bit.
By far my favourite piercings x |

None of my female friends have had problems with nipple piercings n=8.
Fast healing.
Easy to manage.
Choose your piercer carefully.
Betadine for skin prep before piercing.
Hypoallergenic material only.
Post-piercing: Betadine washes.

Nipple piercing are most definitely not fast healing. Anyone saying they are needs to try it and find out. |
