"The UK is the sixth richest country but only ranks 23rd for happiness. Are you unhappy? Why are the Brits so unhappy? Finland ranks no 1 by the way. "
Uk is nowhere near 6th richest country. Take out financial services and would be lucky to make Top 20. |

I guess I should be deeply unhappy and there's times my mood is low but my fridge is full, I have friends and a social life. I can't work through bad health but I'm working hard to improve that and a major factor is finding things that make me happy.
The weather's nice, I get to wear nice clothes and walk in the woods.
I get to be the person I need to be.
I'm supposed to be fucking miserable to make the haters happy. Fuck that shit. |

So many walk around as if are looking for trouble. People have become too selfish and stopped caring. It's sad. And the rhetoric of media and governent, the attack on volnurable people and the most needy in society and a hoard of other prejudices create an unhappy society. We are doomed and we can only do what we can as individuals to manage that in the absence of a revolution. |

The money is in the hands of the few and even more when the benefits system is raided. Of course there are some scoundrels and cheats but the most needy will suffer. |

You may be right, they spent so long trying to work out whether I was male or female that they didn't have time to go out and spend money!

Not getting too political, but the government and all the people in charge hate us, as far as I can tell.
I've got a close mate who works in the city and he always says the system's built on debt and government spending money we haven't got, then blaming and distracting the rest of the population for their mistakes.
It just seems to me there's no common sense left in anyone running the place.

Ireland's money isn't Irelands money mate, you guys have a tax system that allows company's to HQ in Dublin, but not pay any tax there. Sure you get lots of mid level office jobs, but the big corporations are just avoiding paying billions.
Its a bit like having a billionaire renting a big house off you, but not paying any rent, he just throws cash around a bit. |

But they pretend they do it in the nane of fairness. Nit intetested in the few that might work the system as much as the volnurable that suffer. What ever next, off the cliff? Dispicable and and shameful and anyone who can should be writing and protesting to those they elected. And out |

Miserable weather, studies were conducted and found that the lack of sun and decent weather actually affects people to the extent they become more unhappy. We as humans are very dependent on the sun. That's why older people retire to warmer climates, not just for health reasons but also for their mental health. It doesn't matter if we have attractions and public spaces to take advantage of, nobody wants to go out when it's constantly chucking it down.
No room to breathe due to how our residential areas are built, we're crammed in like sardines and in some places no privacy since you can hear everything going on next door. Not to mention most of residential homes are just depressing to look at, just boxes of brick stuffed into a small area with 50-100 other households. Typical British temperament is being reserved as a result, that leads to a lack of connection for the most part, and therefore a weaker sense of community for the majority.
And I'm pretty sure the alcohol drinking culture has something to do with it as well, it's a depressant and while people get merry to a point, the constant consumption, especially heavy consumption, leads to more consistent depressive states.
I cannot wait to get out of this country in the future, either Italy or the States. Just somewhere warm. Every place has its problems so I'd rather deal with those problems in the sun than being stuck indoors because I don't want a nature shower and get soaked. |

My new mp is a gay man who's already tried to stand up and been gagged by the labour whips. Utterly disgusting. |

Gagged by the Whip. Are Labour the Tories in disguise.? It is 2025 and surely it's illegal to gag a gay man |
