Anyone struggle to fathom the mood swings of certain male individuals in the vanilla world be they friends, associates or work colleagues. I've reached the stage where I erase numbers (for the sake of my own sanity)...

Im convinced it's due to a lack of nurturing friendships among men
Most mens friend groups are the polar opposite of women's
Must make them very angry when they've no one to actually talk to so they fester over problems etc.
Just what I've seen from life |

Thank you for these thought-provoking comments.
Do you think there's still room for these types to take charge/have responsibility for their emotional intelligence (or lack of)? |

"Nope. The only moody man I knew was my Step-Dad. Oh and my ex! But then one was just moody and the other had depression.
"
Depression seems like a minefield. Fresh air, exercise, healthy food could be the answer... |

"Mood changes are part of life whether male or female
Having a little patience, calmness, open ears and understanding can calm these situations rather than ignite them

How many chances overlap with a patient approach from person A before person B begins to harmfully impact the more stable bloke? |

Completely depends on the individuals and the circumstances
Everyone is different
Sometimes patience and understanding can go a long way to helping sometimes its abused, used and can be detrimental to both people
There is bo blanket, one type answer
Each person, each set of circumstances are completely unique but they should all start with compassion

It’s this. Men’s mental health is in a terrible state and only appears to be getting worse |

Do people need a justification for their mood?
There seems to be certain moods that do, in particular those deemed negative.
Why can't people just feel how they feel and if other people don't like it they leave them to it? Find something more interesting or appealling to focus on.
Theres lots of reasons to be moody in the modern world. Simply the fact you can be constantly mithered with calls, emails, texts any time of the day. You go AWOL for a few days and all of a sudden you are on everyone's shitlist. And that's before you have to deal with all the adulting life crap, whilst people are falling ill and dying around you.
There's good stuff too of course, but life isn't all marshmallow pie, wrapped up in candy floss clouds. So sometimes people aren't tapdancing in the rain. |

Mental health in today's environment is seriously overlooked in men. I know a lot of you are going to call bollocks on this, but when was the last time you actually walked up to a man you know who is in a bad mood and said "mate, are you ok" instead of saying "cheer up you grumpy cunt" |
