So the actor Laurence Fox has been charged today under section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 of posting an upskirt image
The charge makes it an offence to to intentionally share a sexual image without consent, with the aim of causing alarm, distrsss, humiliation, or for sexual gratification
So my question is how do you protect yourself at meets to make sure no images are taken either overtly or covertly and does this act mean that sites such as these should decline photos of anyone with anyone else unless both are photo verified |

Upskirt photos were done by the paps till it was illegal and many celebs were photographed getting out of cars I’m sure some flashed on purpose to get their name out there.
Where LF went wrong is reposting it as that is illegal now even though as you say it is in the public domain. |

Protections: I tell people before meets that I don’t want a camera involved. (The one on my profile was a pre-planned one-off).
I don’t meet people if there’s photos or videos on their profile where it seems the camera is obscured. For example, the photo has been taken in a mirror during sex. Or looks like it’s behind a wash basket or on a desk or something similar.
Thirdly, I check the room before I begin. Make sure there are no open laptops, no devices around, etc.
Fourth - I make sure I remember who the person was and note the address, just in case. |

Yes I think fab should decline photos from single profiles that show someone else in regardless of their face is covered.
I have never needed to actively ‘protect’ myself as no one has gotten a camera out. If they did I’d leave. If they did it so I was unaware that’s not my failing it’s theirs |

Did you take these precautions for both of your meets?
There was a time when Fab wouldn't allow pics showing a second person's face, if you had a single profile.
Has this changed?
It's pretty obvious if someone is taking pics and I wouldn't allow it.

I'm not a fan of single male, Profiles that show more of the women they've slept with than them. (I say male as I don't meet women). Especially when the woman can be identified, so yes I think there should be some changes to that.
I've reported profiles that show all of the lady and just the man's fingers or cock and was told as long as some part of him is in the pics, that's ok.
There's no deterrent at the min to stop anyone uploading their exes pics or sharing their unknowing partners pics on here with others.
That's something that's really wrong and I report those type of threads, but they can unfortunately upload their partners/exes pics and share them in messages etc.
So yes, restricting pic uploads unless they can be verified, would be a good start. |
