I pride myself on being a genuine and honest person.
I am 100% honest at all times.
I am 90% open because I have to know someone before I open up completely. |

Yes I live authentically to my values.
No I'm not open to others, I have trust issues and there are a lot of people who would use information about me to harm me
I share what I don't care about being shared on further... |

I have imposter syndrome always.
I certainly do my best to be a good person and live to the values that I believe are important. Most times I genuinely believe I'm a good human.
But on a bad day I can pick apart my motivations and actions and how I affect other people until I just hate myself and everything I am 💜 |

Absolutely. I'm comfortable and at peace with who am I and what I do. Integrity is vital, as is honesty and transparency. Mrs DS is well aware of my activities on here and meets my playmates from time to time, even if she doesn't play herself. Nothing is done under the radar. |

"If I said yes, I'd be lying. I got called a duplicitous cunt once a long time ago, I have to wear that now!"
That, my friend is a collectors' item badge of honour right there. What a phrase. Top drawer stuff. |

Yes I live an authentic life.
Honesty, openness and authenticity are related, but not identical.
I don't owe everyone every single aspect of who I am or what I believe and I am quite sure not everyone wants to know.
It is possible be too open and that can lead to floodlighting. There's a huge difference between being mindful of others feelings and being deceptive though.
Congruence is the concept I consider to entail both honesty and consideration for others and that is what I strive for in my relations. Especially in those significant relationships with loved ones, friends and family.
I have quite few expectations in relationships, but that is a core value and if it's not there - I won't hang around long. If nothing else I really can't be bothered with the drama that comes with obfuscated communication. |

Everything that we do is authentic to ourselves because we are doing it. If you lie that's authentic to you, in that moment you're a liar, just as much as if you do something more positive.
The idea there is a better, more authentic self is mostly just self flattery. You're always and only you. |

"Probably not. I don’t over share. People don’t need to know everything. " Exactly this. I have no idea why people have to tell others everything
There are so many people on the forums overshare. Maybe they think they are super interesting If I was interested to know something I'd ask then |

I almost perfectly half-agree with that 🤣 |

I'd like to think so but when it comes to the work environment the work me and the "home" me are very different and I keep this side of myself very hidden from colleagues and even work friends to a degree.
But I still like to think I am authentic in my values and beliefs. |

Living authentically and not giving a shit what people think of me is what helped with eliminating my depression. I show appreciation to those who show their respect for me and I give it back, even if they don't agree with everything I say but they're mature and civil about it. Those who have a problem with me, I honestly don't care. I do no harm but I take no shit. |

I live authentically to my values but I am not completely open and honest with others about who I am and what I do because not everyone needs or wants to know all of me. |

I suppose it depends on what you consider values. I think they can change and evolve over time and sticking to the same ones rigidly can prevent opportunities for growth perspective on how other values that may look to oppose yours, can help you going forward. |

Live to my values - yes
Open and honest - yes - I think so
I don't openly discuss being on here, but if someone asked I would tell them. |

Yes and no. Realistically am I most authentic self in work, nope. Being so would make everyone else's life more difficult. Everyone tones themselves down in some way or another in certain situations, to think otherwise is naïve.
I don't think being like that changes who you are as a person. You're just adapting to the environment you are in. Plus the majority of us do things and look back and think what was I thinking. Nobody is perfect though often on Fab you'd think everyone was |

Broadly, yes. We are quiet and peaceful people, and we live a quiet and peaceful life. We mind our own business and respect the privacy of others. We don’t lie if we can help it, we keep our negative opinions to ourselves unless we have no choice, and then we’ll attempt to be diplomatic. It’s pretty simple really. |

There’s adapting to the environment and others but authenticity is doing that while staying true to your values & beliefs, especially when under pressure or peer pressure or when it’s just convenient. |

Yes. My key value is to treat others how I would want to be treated and I live that day in, day out. I still remember 'Mrs Do As You Would Be Done By' from The Water Babies 😂
In terms of my private life, it's exactly that, private. If someone needs to know that stuff then I will be open and honest with them. |

As I'm firmly in the closet, I suppose the answer to that is no.
As far as possible, I just try to be me. |

I don't know tbh, there are people I dislike in work for example. Outside of work I'd give them a wide berth but you know you have to be kind of polite in work. Telling them exactly what I think of them would not go down well. Do I pretend to like them in work no, but I do tolerate them and engage in pleasantries yes. To me I personally feel that isn't my authentic self. However, my core values don't change, have gone to complain about a colleague being bullied, even though I wasn't impacted. There's grey areas in my opinion and that's just life |

Authentic - not on here no, my vanilla life isn't part of my fab life and doesn't get discussed, I don't walk around in lingerie and I'm not at all confident, on here people assume due to pics some level of confidence which isn't the case.
