Staying away with work

A thread for those of us where work has you staying away often during the week or even locals who don’t mind meeting visitors
Maybe post where you travel and stay area wise and if anyone fancies a social or more if it works out please message them
Appreciate there’s a meet section but thought this might be fun
I’m regularly away in different areas throughout the year but often the south west ie Cornwall Devon etc and also west wales

Hello, this is me. It’s kind of what most of my Fab meets are. Catching an opportunity to meet up while I’m nearby on work.
I’ve not been away as often recently though. Last time was Manchester. Most often it’s London.
Plenty of times I’ve managed to arrange my London meetings to line up neatly with a big Fab social. And they’ve been brilliant nights out, with lots of friends from the forums. So here’s to more. |

I am very close to Gatwick airport so plenty of visitors… though I prefer some in particular 👨✈️ 👩✈️ ✈️ hahaha I am always open to chatting and going for a drink with people, but it has to be planned in advance- I’ll never get out of my comfortable, lovely home just because someone is there before a flight and it’s convenient for them. Naaah.
Need to sweeten me up first.  |

I work away a lot although not as much as I did before relocating to the west coast . It’s why I purchased a big motorhome instead of paying hotels prices and having home comfort and home cooked food too |

My last regular FWB used to work away and he got Hotel rooms paid for that we’d use.
Was a convenient way to do things. I did offer to pay my way but he wouldn’t have it.
I miss the convenience! And the sex. But mostly the convenience! |

I work away a lot, all over the country although quite often at repeat venues.
In the 4 years or so I’ve been working away I’ve seen a massive shift to locals being unwilling to engage and therefore meet. There seems to be this assumption that I’m looking to cheat or have no standards.
More often than not I’d be quite happy to meet for a drink / dinner / brew as opposed to sitting in my hotel room alone. |
