"Is there an actual Edinburgh Festival because only the Fringe gets talked about as far as I recall. "
Edinburgh actually has lots of small festivals the fringe and the tattoo are the largest . The fringe is all over the city centre and the tattoo is at Edinburgh castle it’s well worth a visit |

"Oh...
I wanted to go see Sloss' work in progress.
I should work out who I want to go with and then plan a day of things we'll both enjoy 💜"
In the pleasance that’s a cracking venue if you do come a walk up the royal mile then down to the mound will have loads of amazing street acts |

"Any recommendations for this year OP ?"
We love watching the street performers some of them have been coming to Edinburgh for years so we’ve got to know a few of them. We follow them on instagram and love that they live there lives travelling and performing all over the world. Comedy shows are also very good if you check out the Edinburgh fringe festival website it’s got a list of the bigger events that are on but sometimes the small shows that you stumble across turn out to be the best |

"It would be great to meet up for some drinks with you guys if you can make it obviously
Sounds great if you know somewhere to stay that wouldn't break the bank.
"
It would be easier to give you the winning lottery numbers for 6 straight draws. |

Leaparck hotel in Grangemouth is pretty nice and reasonably priced that’s as close to Edinburgh as you’ll get at a reasonable price during the fringe . Polmont train station is less than ten minutes in a taxi and it’s 20 minutes from polmont to Edinburgh Waverley on the train |

"I checked out hotel prices a while back and it was eye wateringly expensive - much higher than a previous visit. It's sealed the decision for us this year. I'd rather go abroad.
C" booking a hotel in Edinburgh during the fringe is extortionate but heading out of town is ok Falkirk area is only 20 minutes on a train and there very regular |

Accommodation seems to get more expensive every year. Although I’ve had reasonably priced hotels when I’ve waited until the very last minute.
I think I will just endure the 2 hour journey, each way, this year. |
