It is hard to accept at time when feels like everyone you send a pic to suddenly disappears. Don’t be hard on yourself. They may have insecurities off their own and feel a face pic is all a bit to much. It takes confidence to put one’s self out there and actually meet. Most lack that for what ever reason. |

Facial attraction is huge for me. But photos don't really tell you much either. Before I met my partner on here I swapped photos with him as part of a "Who do you look like?" thread. He thought I looked a bit like Hannah Waddingham and I thought he looked a bit like John Hannah. Neither of us had a oooft moment I don't think. We then met in person at a group social and I didn't realise who he was at first. I just knew I really fancied him.
I'm not quite sure what my point is other than don't read too much into it. And if you can get yourself to a organised social you're much more likely to click with someone in person. |

It is what it is OP, I used to and in somtimes still does annoy the hell out of me or ya kinda knocks you're confidence a bit.
It's the person fault they arnt into you or anyone. As the old saying gose nobody on fab owes you anything.

Day to day we aren't relying on our looks to get by in life. I won't be turned away from Waitrose because of my face, I'm allowed on the bus despite it, nobody tells me to go away in the street (well, not often). However on here we set ourselves up to be rejected or accepted with every interaction, therefore the it all becomes concentrated down.
The fact is we're all going to be rejected because of how we look but men are going to experience it more frequently because there are more of them. It's got very little to do with our faces really. |

This is going to be slightly off topic, apologies.
Men generally aren't too great at selfies. I've met quite a few and I've been surprised when I've met them. In a kind of 'oh your face is sittable but in your photo it looks rather sour' way.
Obviously, as Mrs NC wrote above, there's an increased likelihood of not hearing back because of the number of men but it's also worth making sure face photos are... good. Ask a blunt friend, that's what I do. |

This is why we only get attracted to a profile.
We start to fancy someone when we see them,
It’s then the connection when you get to know them that lights that spark.
In a roundabout way, I’m trying to say the looks is paper thin, it’s when you start to peel back each layer of a person you start to realy fancy someone, other than that you just probably think they look hot. |

One of things I find funny is when people list dogging as an interest but also have preference for not meeting smokers. I respect people's preferences so won't contact anyone who doesn't like smokers (until I successfully quit) but would love to try dogging for first time.  |

If someone has built up anticipation and excitement and has a visual brain they'll have already imagined what you look like whether they're conscious of it or not. When the reality doesn't match the image built up it can really throw people 💜 |

This is good.
Our brains fill in the missing pieces, this creates that image of desire we long for, and I agree, people can look nothing like we imagine.
But all people are different, and someone can become awesome, and that image goes beyond something which is just surface level.
We fancy them - period.
