I’m guessing most people will say Personal, but does anyone else feel like their opening messages are starting to all sound the same? Like, apart from a few tweaks here and there, it feels a bit repetitive — and you start worrying you’re coming across as boring?
Here’s my current one:
Hi XXX,
I hope you don’t mind me reaching out.
I'd like to chat and get to know each other, see if there's a spark. Would you?
Sending Hugs 🤗
Or something similar to that... |

Basically, write like you talk. Asking someone if they want to start a chat to see if there’s an interest sounds like har work…chat about what?
Mention something on their profile, something they said in the forums, a question which actually deserves a decent answer are all ideas. |

It' a step up from Hi, hey you, hi how are you? Or have you have a good day?
Perhaps put a little bit about yourself too. |

Mine is what ever nonsense pops into my head.
Sometimes that is just hello I think your tits are lovely
Sometimes it's a complete shite from my subconscious.
People will either engage it doesn't really bother me |

I wouldn't use the same template for an opening message for each woman I attempt to chat with. Each individual has different qualities or something that's been written in their bio, that can easily be incorporated into an opening gambit. I try to make each one personal with a bit of humour thrown in. |

Can I copy and paste that op?
Seriously, there’s no right or wrong.
My advice would be, just be you, and if they answer or send you a message and you are lucky enough to say hello to each other, it was meant to be. If not, it wasn’t and you’d have never got along anyway. |

Nothing wrong with it apart from it would scream you have no personality for me.
I respond to the funny more piss taking ones. But that's just me.
People like different things. Who knew!

This screams copy and paste message with no effort to personalise, would make me feel like you've likely not even read my profile. I probably wouldn't reply to this sorry, especially with the "sending hugs" bit 😬 |

What’s wrong with “copy & paste”?
You want people to take the time to make a personalised message, when theirs a 90% chance they’re not gonna even look at it?
On the odd occasion I receive a message from a lady, what do I get?
“Hey”
“Hello”
“How are you?”

As a solo woman I don't appreciate copy and paste message which start "Hey guys. How are you both""
Haha.
I actually sent a message to someone complimenting their profile picture.
To later see them in my hotlist which a shadow pic (they’d took it down) and the message hadn’t been read yet.
So I do often think if they thought I’d copy and pasted from somewhere else. 🤷♂️
What can you do? |

My messages vary ~ read the persons profile, pick out what appeals and mention something along those lines.
Messages received can be pretty whacky; but even if a person just says "hi" I'm ok with that. It just opens a dialogue, doesn't it. |
