Bedfuck

So scientists are trying to find out how much carbon is stored in trees.

This will tell them what they already know deforestation is a bad thing.

Sounds like a waste of technology and money.

Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Havant

As a generalisation in temperate hardwoods for every growing metric tonne of a tree in it’s prime age it can take 1.48 tons of carbon

However peat bogs can absorb far more !

I have ignored softwoods which are in effect the larger number of growing cellulose lignin and hemicellulose etc

Deforestation is an issue of viruses now the Congo in africa is now the largest set of green lungs on the planet … sadly Brazil is now being cultivated

I recently attended a seminar where to reverse climate change by planting trees to cover the entire area of North America and china and Europe

That assumes they are in their prime not saplings !

War is not going to end the world climate change WILL.

The uk is insignificant as world player but —- it’s starts locally to convince attitudes
