Single, around 4pm, I get my 1st can of Stella from the fridge
Iron my black trousers, new fcuk t shirt( with a cheeky fcuk slogan)
Shoes polished.
Scouse house on a respectable level, shower/fresh shave.
2nd can now open, change to motown/luther vandross to get my funk on.
Few cheeky sets of biceps curls for pumps
Hair done, teeth brushed, underwear/trousers on.
Few sets of press ups to get my chest pumped then on to my 3rd can.
Splash/spray d&g masculine aftershave lol
Final song is Bee Gees Jive talking, T shirt on . Tight around chest and arms
Them walk to train station , pop in to pub next to it for a pint and wait for matez

You have just described my life, in the year 2000, to a T! Also with a 6 year old (it's his 31st b/day today) and I won't even waste my breath mentioning my ex 🙄 |

I would have been 16/17 in 2000. The usual routine was pre drinks at a friends, cheap vodka and Marlboro lights. Music would have been an eclectic mix of Brit pop and alt rock. Then we’d pile on the eyeliner, put on our Dr Martens and jump on the bus to the local indie club. Feels like yesterday! |

I think I would have got the train and gone to "rockworld" in Manchester..& met up with the 2 other guys I was in a band with back then.
They were both older than me at 19, I was 17.
How I got into that nightclub, I don't know because when I was 17 I looked like I was about 10. |

I was 20 in 2000 so I'd go out on a friday night and go home on a Sunday afternoon, i used to have clothes at a mate's house so I'd have a clean clothes to change into before going back out again, seems like a different life time ago now |

Ah that was my round the clock partying days!
Dress, heels, make up. Collect a friend. Abandon the car somewhere in town. Hit the vodka/tequila bars. Head to a club, dance for a couple of hours. Get annoyed by pestering blokes. Switch to a private gay club and stay there dancing til 5am.
Get dragged off to the toilets by my male hairdresser, for him to restyle my hair. Breakfast club til 7 (still dancing to big clubbing tunes), then grab a cab home. Shower, change and head into work 
I'm not sure how I did it really, We did our best to repeat this in the last few years - except for the going to work bit. It usually results in us being completely useless the next day

In my early 20s and after finishing work on Friday would be out until Sunday evening. Manchester was such a great place to go out in the late 90s and early noughties so it was usually the indie clubs or dance venues. I had a lot of fun! |
