I'm after some new (to me) Japanese oddities.. along the lines of: House, Survival style 5+, Tetsuo, Robo Geisha, Symbol, Big Man Japan, Happiness of the Katakuris, R99, R100....etc

Love some Asian horror too.. particularly Indonesian and Korean. I think the Chinese film Moon Man is well worth a watch too. Great wtf kinda fun

You seen that Takashi Miike movie Gozu?

I've been recommended some old ones like rashomon, but still haven't watched that.

Some early 2000s ones are great like zatoichi & battle royale.

If Japanese animation is your thing I'd recommend the red turtle, that's a French and Japanese collaboration.

-an incredible film I think.

Rashomon is great! Odd if you don't know it's 4 people giving their version of seeing a murder. One to chew over with others after as to what you think happened.

Seven samurai is epic, got that on dvd still!

I saw the devil is one of my favourite films.

Memories of murder, the man from nowhere and the handmaiden are also good Korean films
