Seems to be the current hot actor for every film made recently. Done some good ones in the past. Watched one of his on Netflix. Fucking awful to be totally honest. Action movie, blah blah blah, English guy doing American accent, blah blah. Loads of fun violence and shakey fight scenes that you can’t make out. Basically massively disappointed by it. No. Nothing like Jason Statham. Tom is a great character actor. When he was no longer in Peaky Blinders I wasn't as interested. He's shown his wide capabilities in roles in The virgin queen, wuthering heights, band of brothers, oliver twist and he was outstanding as Capone. I'll always remember how well he played 'Stuart' in A life Backwards about a homeless man that commits suicide. He has a long history as an actor and writer and his supporting roles in films are a very small part of who he is. I really did like him in his own fantasy history series Taboo ... he's done too much to mention. I guess if people only watch adventure films then that's the way they'll think of him. I like the fact that he seems down to earth and lacking in arrogance. |
