Without getting personal about local dialects is someone’s voice or accent important to you?
Is there a particular dialect that you like?
Do you ever look at someone and think “I bet he’d have a deep voice” but when they talk it’s high and squeaky and you just think “oh”

Yes! I love a good voice, having a good accent is the thing that takes me from thinking they're alright to wanting to get naked.
Slight double standards though as I have a terrible accent.

Yes accent is important for sure. Certain accents are like nails on a chalkboard to me. But then others are extremely alluring |

Yep. All someone women have to do is speak and I'm already there.
Conversely I was recently in touch with a woman I found attractive and when I heard a voice note the accent and tenor completely changed my mind. |

Accent less so. I like listening to people, the difference in accents, the musicality to be found some. Voice/tone can make a difference yes. Some people have a smooth voice. Mellifluous. That's the kind I particularly enjoy.
In terms of dialect/accents here, there's not one I actively dislike. There's one that I'm rather fond of. Paired with a particular way of speaking and I'm putty. Utterly useless.
And yeah, I do guess a person's accent/voice. I do it on Fab. I get it wrong most of the time. |

I suppose if it's not too harsh, but has a sort of lilt that's indicative of location that's cool.
Mine's quite neutral..

This has wilted more lady-boners than I could ever count.
I've had such disappointments 😬😟 and it just can't be helped.
I actually get almost as nervous about voicenotes and hearing their voice for the first time as I would deciding to arrange a date in person. |

I do a lot of group speaking so I can alter mine to suit the audience and topic.
I'm Irish and have a soft deep voice and project well. It's done me great service.
But then again when I'm with family it's completely different as we've got Irish, Northern Irish, English and Scots in the immediate family.
The speed is lightening, some get left behind, others need translators, while the youngsters shrug and the elders nod in blissful unawareness of the context of the conversation trying to be polite and then in comes "French Francis" with his version of English...
Yep, accents matter. |
