Fave Muscle Group to Train
Jump to: Newest in thread
Dead lift , squats, shoulder press , shrugs, bench press and bicep curl. If I had to pick one probably dead lift, if I’m feeling low and not in the mood for training, I’ll just go and do 10 sets of dead lift with my headphones on |

Currently shoulders is my favourite as close to my target of the 60kg Dumbells.
I've started doing deadstop shoulder press which is quite fun as all about raw strength |

"Got to be deadlift for me so its an all muscle group exercise trying to build at the minute to hit 300kg "
Love deadlift, not trained it for a while following elbow surgery as the pull Aggravates it.
My max was 230kg for reps
Farmers walk 110kg per hand for a lap |

The most fun for me is hips/ass/thighs. Feels amazing. I love the squats, and the stretch and rotation. I love the little twinges deep in the muscles as I climb stairs after and you can feel all the working parts really warmed up and loose. 😎😁 |

If you keep throwing your arms up someones gonna start singing YMCA at you.
No taco today, I have lots of options.
I'm told I look 21 if I lay down with my head at a 39.4°angle to the orbit of wtfshire. |

It’s always been legs for me but at the minute I’ve removed all the junk volume from my routine and I’m loving every session. My sessions are shorter but more intense and I seem to be growing so long may it continue. |

I have changed my routine too. Trying to workout smarter now rather than harder |

My workouts were slowly getting longer and longer and my progress was stalling. Sometimes less is more. |

Less volume allows you to add more intensity with what you do keep. |

I’ve been watching a lot of pro bodybuilders recently and they’re all about recovery. Too much junk volume means you can’t recover by the next time you hit that muscle group in a typical PPL routine. So my options were either train less often or reduce volume and as I train for my mental health as well as my body, taking more rest days wasn’t an option. |

Yeah I try to train with really high intensity, but only hit about 6 different exercises per session. And I time my rest to make sure time between sets is consistent. |

You definitely don't need as much volume as you think. My quads and hams get 6-8 sets per week total and growing just fine. |

"Does anyone enjoy working abs?
I train them but hate every second of it. It’s a common misconception that abs are made in the kitchen. You should train them like any other other muscle group."
True... but also made in the kitchen... or in genes lol |

I recently lost a considerable amount of body fat and just expected to have decent abs but that wasn’t the case. I’ve been training them consistently for about 3 months and they’re looking 10x better. Yes some people will genetically have better abs but you should still train them like any other muscle group. |
