I like Foie gras anyway.. would try frogs legs and escargot if in a hostage situation. Escargot...like a big winkle, without the crunchy bit, innit???  The bollock would have to be in some kind of sauce. Actually I think apart from the oysters, I'd give em all a go! |

My notes on these:
Escargot
(Had many times and love them, just not so much the French way as not keen in all the garlic butter - prefer portuguese, spanish greek mainly in stews or in risotto type dishes)
Frog legs
(They are fine, bit lije chicken taste)
Oysters
(Great but quickly down the hatch - nice with a glass of champs)
Fois gras
(I had it lots while back but again will not as has been said if made the tradditional methods)
Sea urchins
(Ok, had them raw and fine but prefer in omelette)
Tétines (cow's udders)
(Similar taste to tongue or oerhaps tofu - only had a couple of times and not that offensive)
Tête de veau (Cow's head)
(To be honest unless you see the whole head, as sometimes is presented that way, it is just nice delicious soft and suculent beef and very nice)
Sheep's testicles
(This one I am conflicted with and depends how are cooked. Breaded and fried are actually very nice. More kike scallops. ) |
