"Sorry fat fingers deleted my post ,basically I was asking why is planet earth the only place showing signs of life. "
It was a profound question.
My thoughts: we’re still fairly new to space travel and learning about other planets. Maybe we’ll discover life on other planets at some point once we know more and can explore more. |

Let's try again..our planet is full of millions of type of life from the tiniest microbes to the humungous blue whale, and some live in the most inhospitable areas, volcanoes etc, so why can't we find life anywhere else in the universe. Why us? |

You ask why is Earth the only planet showing signs of life - Really, planet Earth is the only place we know of that is showing signs of life....
Beyond our universe in the entire multiverse we have no way , as yet, of knowing what is out there.
It's pretty typical of Human Arrogance to assume that 'we' will discover a life form and that 'they' will be inferior to us .....
It may very well be that 'they' discover 'us' |

Arthur C Clarke said there are two possibilities: we are either alone in the universe, or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.
Maybe the chances are, given how we are as humans, our brief civilisation will justify the Fermi Paradox. We will have annihilated ourselves before we make contact with other advanced civilisations in the cold uncaring vastness of the cosmos.
If you were a species capable of reaching a pinnacle of technology that allowed travel, even just within the confines of the Milky Way, would you want to make contact with Earthlings? |

It's the only place that we've managed to find it, based on our limited technology and vast distances from other places.
It probably exists elsewhere. Remember too that what we see from other places can take a very long time to get to us, so things will already be different |

" Remember too that what we see from other places can take a very long time to get to us, so things will already be different " that's another question that I often wonder about, when we look at the stars,we're seeing light from thousands of years ago, what are the planets around those stars like now?

Just because the news doesn’t report it doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.
They probably have, civilisation loses its mind when the government tell you a cold will kill you, you think they’re got to trust you with this sort of information. |

In our universe Planet Earth is the only planet that has conditions for life to exist.. A sun, Oxygen ect...
Beyond our universe it would take too many light years to reach to determine if life exists there ... |

What's known as the Goldilocks Zone. Where distance from a star permits temperatures of a range where water can exist as a liquid, and other conditions allow life, as we know it, to exist.
Oxygen is not a complex element, and is one of the most common in the universe. It's been detected on moons around Jupiter and also planets outside our own solar system. |
