Yeah, I pretty much tell the truth. I'm not going to make up any wild sexual scenarios I've been in to try and impress people. The exception is probably making up jokey things to tease people or take the piss but usually hope people can tell when I'm being serious or not |

On all the important stuff I tell the truth, I am single, I don’t live with my mother, I really am just over 6 feet tall and enjoy uncomplicated sex and good food, everything else is just banter, which I love. |

You know that middle ground? Yeah I like that.
I'm truthful about certain topics, others aren't anyone's business bar mine and the penis/vagina owner. Sometimes I wish people were more honest and Fab could be a Utopia but that's never happening.
And sometimes I can't take this place seriously at all. Increasingly that's most of the time.  |

I don't share anything really personal on the forums, and tbh I only mostly post to amuse myself on here, I am very seldomly serious on the forums.
On my profile my age and height are truthful, still annoyed when I joined I didn't think to shave a few years off my age!  |

I admit I lie but I know I'm not the only one.
Being tactful, at times were its needed, means you can be economical with the truth to save others from emotional hurt. There's plenty of times when I've told someone it's not them, it's me, when telling them about a decision they might not want to hear. I do this not because I'm a liar but because I'm nice.
I've seen honesty used by some people as a 'weapon', those who tell others they just say it as they see it. You know the kind. That revel in saying something brutally honest just to cause hurt or offence.
So it's all about context for me, sometimes lies are good, other times honesty is. It's using both positively and for the right reasons.
Nothing is black or white, you just have to learn how to use the gray to brighten up any situation.
Most people are genuinely good natured, decent, kind individuals that have learnt the little nuances that make conversation enriching for both sides.
Just be nice to people, everyone lies, it's just to what degree and that's fine,

I lie about my age, so that I'm older by a few weeks.
Otherwise I'm truthful, if I don't want to tell people things, I just won't.
People don't need to know everything about me, just the important things.
I don't like being lied to myself. |

I don't know. Omission of truth? It's in that grey area isn't it? On the forums of course I'm going to leave certain details out. Anyone who didn't would be absurd.
I think it's middling kind of behaviour. Understandable.
When I said about people being more honest... if the environment was different, people felt more comfortable saying how they really feel rather than a persona/what they think others want to hear it would be a good thing. I like when people do. Sure you know that. :D |

I totally agree with that last part! I do wonder how much people's personas would change if they didn't fear total judgement for their choices |

No way. And I suspect those who claim to always be truthful also keep a lot of things private, as is their right.
Tbh (see what I did there?), I probably spill my guts a bit more than is wise. He's a bit more reserved. |

I don't think I've ever knowingly made shit up but I think it's funny when people do and I appreciate the humor.
This is the internet so I generally operate on the principal that everyone is a neckbeard living in a basement and proceed accordingly.
I wouldn't expect anyone to be honest on a public forum.
I'm sure some of you are really are women but who knows really. |

I tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God. I joke around alot especially on the forums but I don't lie about nothing I see no point in pretending. Honesty is always the best policy as the saying goes! |
