I’m just reading about this government gilt on offer that is offering 5.375% but there is a catch it’s a 30 year Gilt.
What have you ever invested in that required a huge amount of patience/ sacrifice but was definitely worth it.? Your health ? education? a relationship? |

I will probably not be here in thirty years or if I am I won't care very much about investments.
Our relationship has spanned 45 years, I don't feel I've sacrificed anything for it but the returns have been good
Financially I guess our house was a good investment. Selling it and downsizing enabled us to retire early and we had to make all sorts of sacrifices to finance it over the years.
Both of us have continued in education of one sort or another our entire lives. I guess that is an investment in yourself.
