I've only ever been to one race, Silverstone 1999, I wanted to watch my hero Michael Schumacher,I saw him whizz past once then he crashed & broke his leg.

It is so refreshing to see two gentlemen on top at the moment who have not resorted to dirty tactics so far, I hope they continue to be clean. I want Lando to be champion but it looks as if Oscar's calm demeanor is beginning to pay dividends. All the champions in recent living memory have been capable of letting them selves down by playing dirty with the exception of Jenson, Damon, James. Alain Prost. Dirty tatics are more the want of the multiple champions it seems.

I worked there for years and I agree in front of the tele.

But it's a great atmosphere and had some great banter

"Sadly I haven't been since 2003 when me and my son went to see Schumacher. Barrichello won it, Michael was 4th I think. Some great overtaking moves by Kimi and Rubens at the chicane before Bridge.

And that crazy bastard ran onto the track right in front of us on the Hangar Straight !

Ferrari fan since '96. F1 fan since '87."

Silverstone is so expensive, we spent less money camping the weekend at Austria with grandstand admission including travel than we did a weekend grandstand admission at Silverstone. That was in 2022 based on 4 sharing a car.

Memories including touching the 3rd place trophy

I go to Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix every year. You do get a better view on the tv but nothing beats the atmosphere of being there live - even if the weather this year was horrific!

That’s the reason to watch it live in Austria, the way the circuit sits in a natural bowl in the mountain you could approximately 70% of the circuit from our seats. It was almost too much to watch. TV doesn’t come close to giving you the true sensation of the speed, and the noise. For example TV you hardly hear the tyres on the curbs, but that’s obvious at the track.
