Unless I get a message first from a woman, there is no way on earth I get a reply. Most members don't even look at my profile. They all preach how single men should be set up their profile, the kind of messages they need to write etc etc but in reality a picture wrongly taken is enough to prevent a single interaction. This is the reality so I honestly think this website should implement some kind of stricter filter in order to limit the amount of men time waster. |

You won't know how many people look at your profile, people who peruse in ninja mode won't show up.
I've never had anyone tell me how to set up my profile, what photos to use or what messages to send.

So basically you are blaming other men for women not looking at your profile and interacting with you. I don't see how the website making a stricter filter to prevent male time wasters is going to help you improve on you. Also time wasters also include females, couples, TV,s, CD,s ect anyway.
What in your opinion is a time waster anyway?

theres alway been too many men 80s 90s to now of course way way more since covid happend... and since covid the couples and women have dropped in numbers..
heres the real kicker take a guess at how few women and couples are on fab then half it as thats how many are fake profiles run by men so its acually worse than you think.. |

Simple maths in the end the % of men compared to the % of couples/fems and then a even smaller % of couples/fems who actually meet men ? just reading the updates in our area on say a friday/saturday then on sunday/monday sort of gives the game away though and of course the even smaller % of couple/fems who do just want the fuck n go type of meets ? the odds aren't that great ..xxx  |

Ahh I see, so you struggle with making the connection first online? I’d say that’s the same for 99% of folks. We only have the photos, videos and bio to judge from to make a decision to interact or not. Just like you do when you click on a ladies/couples profile.
Altering the numbers isn’t going to guarantee more connections

I don't think there's any dating or swinging platform you wont have a lot of men, even regular dating apps. Just put your best foot forward (profile) and try to interact with people outside of meets (I enjoy the forums personally)

Well, perhaps my remark was somewhat dismissive and not wholly correct. A fine balance of numbers between men and women isn't going to be the panacea to your grievances. There are others important factors already mentioned by most of the folk on here. |

As per our initial comment and zero offense taken, there are other platforms that require additional cost, detail and transparency. Fab exists as it requires less of those.
So.. you take your choice, with our filters open we received quite a number of messages every day from those who'd obviously not read our profile and were in the hope we'd merely accommodate their fantasies and desires.
This was understandable, but tiring in deciding which to delete (which was the majority).
Sorry OP and respect the fact you've been open in sharing face pictures and everything but you can't expect an echo chamber of your values and wants from a site which charges a minimal cost to many.
Bluntly it's a case of accept that or pay more elsewhere, for us we accept as we're very sporadic in the time invested to the 'lifestyle' and pick and choose selfishly as we have the inclination and time. |

It's very hard for guys on here ,totally get that ,we used to be way more active on the site than we are now but we do try and be upfront on the profile about what we want and conversely don't want and even though we still try and give a polite no that in itself can elicit a whole dialogue .
"But why won't you meet me","I'll send a car and give you £", "I'm local and after sex so why won't you meet me as we both want same thing surely" , the ever popular " she looks dirty,can I do xyz to her " and when the message finally gets through "didn't want to catch STI off the slag anyway" 
No idea the numbers but the odds are well against most guys on here and generally it's easier for us to visit clubs and cinemas as you know when there that guys are up for play

I'll be quite frank, I currently have 562 unread messages. Anyone who has a silhouette as their profile pic is automatically ignored. If you can't be bothered to put up a profile pic that might attract someone to you, then why do you expect people to look at you/read your messages?
I haven't got time in the day to spend looking at every message I receive or the profiles who send them. That's just the reality of being a woman on here. The people/messages who interest me initially are 100% the people with interesting profile photos. You have to draw people in somehow. It's such a simple thing that might increase the interaction you get.
But if you want to just vent/moan and aren't interested in advice then fair enough, good luck. |

The point I'm trying to make is that how on earth do you expect Fab to enforce, assess and/or differentiate acceptable grades of behaviour? 'Good' behaviour for some could be misconstrued as 'less-than-acceptable' behaviour for others. |

I like this message. Honesty and gives us an insight to what women deal with on here. Only criticism i have is i dont think we are moaning or venting. Just saying how it is and it does get frustrating so i guess we both have issues on here in our own ways.
A lil insight on our side. You see a lady you like. You write something original, havr face pics and a nicely written profile but get blanked so you move onto the next but same again 20 times but all the women he messaged have 3000 unopened messages. You cant blame eithwr side just the reality of a site like this |

The website doesn't need to implement stricter filters.
Natural selection will do the job.
Some of is will go to the 10 second effort of displaying a profile picture, so that if we do decide to message a woman on here she can see we did go to the 10 second effort.
That 10 seconds is an indication of the potential we have also put more than 10 seconds into other aspects of fab, those small things add up. And engagement happens.

If there's a worse choice of men here, it's hardly a good foundation for women to be here as much.

There are far too many messages from silhouettes to open and wade through
It's my initial filtering technique and I don't think I'm alone
The why doesn't really matter to be fair, the only reason i shared was because someone tried to give you helpful advice and you were pretty rude in return |

Most women do look, but in stealth mode, so you won't know they've looked.
This avoids people messaging and saying I saw you looked at me, faf etc.
We all judge others profiles on here op, on what we like and don't like and if there pics appeal to us or not.
I've seen you post lots of similar threads about how men are vilified on here.
Lots don't make any sort of effort and get ignored, the ones who have decent bios and pics and get involved in the scene, do well here.
You can't limit who joins here, just because it doesn't suit you. |

It can be like 5000 fish all fighting for the smallest amount of fish food sometimes, from a guys perspective.
Just be cool, attend clubs and hopefully you'll meet the right person (or people) it all depends if you're what the other person is looking for, reading the profile of what they want and not being too pushy. Hopefully that helps |
