A year ago I remember reading loads of posts in this forum and fabguys, about how bad the government were and how can the tories in the forums defend their party.
I remember thinking at the time that the socialists had some valid points, Sunak and Truss hadn’t been great PMs. They handed over a growing economy but as individuals they were not even liked very much by factions of their own party.
But I also thought to myself, in 3 or 4 years time the Labour government will be hated just as much and the roles will be reversed. But bless my cotton socks it took a lot less than a year and we now have a labour government hated more by its own followers than by the likes of Fararge et al.
Do we just hate the government whatever their colours? |

I wouldn’t even reduce that phrase to “government”. We’ve let extremist thinking become the perceived norm throughout many areas of life. A vocal minority think it’s now normal to hate everyone and everything, seemingly for no reason in most instances.
Unfortunately that vocal minority seem to hold sway over major communication channels (social media, which then bleeds into tv etc). So we’re seeing much more extreme views broadcast to us and that’s creating a cycle of hate.
