"I haven't got any weird dieting tricks unless you count norovirus.
I’ve had it twice now. Very effective at weight loss. Try effective at will to live loss too "
an apt description. If anything strips you of all dignity it's that. |

"I thought you meant weird things like soup diets and sniffing chocolate while you eat a cucumber hahaha"
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to cut chocolate out at any part of the week it’s what keeps me sane |

Weird diets and dieting tricks don't work. I have known a lot of people who try every darn diet going. The only ones who have ever been successful long term are the ones who change their eating and exercise habits and don't think of it as a diet.

I’m finding it’s mainly my recovery rate, I feel about 60 years old lol |

I remember a few years agoreligiously sticking to a ‘no food after 8pm’ rule. I shed weight and was in the slimmest and athletic shape I’d ever been in…. Few months later I found out I actually had an illness that caused the weight loss
I’m all better now but unfortunately put the weight back on |

I used to eat half a grapefruit with granulated sweetener before bed cause I'd heard that the acid eats the sugars while you sleep.
No idea if that's the case but I was losing weight at the time I was doing that. |

No matter what you follow, it's always because it causes a calorie deficit. Pick something that works for you, and is healthy and sustainable. I do intermittent fasting as I find it easy and I don't want to cut anything out. I like food too much! |

Lots of high protein meats and just adjust carbs depending if I want to lose or gain weight.
I do work out but not willing to give up fizzy drinks, pints on a night out or takeaways when the mood hits.
I rarely snack out of habit more than anything else. |

"Ozempic had been the game changer for me but I'll be on it for life.
How have you found being on that? Many side effects?
Mrs"
It’s a for life kind of thing
If you come off it you will inevitably gain weight back
It’s effectively medication for insulin I believe |

I've tried all the diets. None of them worked because denying myself anything wasn't sustainable.
The constant food noise and my relationship with food was/is the problem.
I'm now on Mounjaro. It's helped quiet the food noise but weightloss still takes work. It's still about making the right choices, drinking enough water, being in calorie deficit and moving. I still need to heal the relationship and I still need to be mindful. It's still hard, exhausting and frustrating. |

"1 meal a day. No junk food, never really eat it as I don't like it at all. 2L water everyday
I'm curious. When you have one meal is that every day or cycled? What would it typically be?"
It’s called the OMAD diet
It’s typically all your cals in one meal |

Barely ate for 3 weeks when I had anxiety, lost 3kg. Took weeks to get my appetite back. Not really by choice..more forced upon me!
Gave myself food poisoning once. Similar effect 😝
Wouldn't recommend either |

Yeah I've heard of OMAD, I'm just trying to imagine an absolute mountain of a meal that would have all your proteins, carbs and fat you need. |

I try not to eat more than once. I have green tea with collagen powder for breakfast. I'll have dinner which is usually rice and curry. I drink bone broth all the time too. |

"We’re all guilty of it
What are some weird dieting/cutting tricks that you do that you swear by?"
No we aren't.
I don't do diets and never have.
I am trying to eat healthier and get more exercise.

Lose weight because you want to, you are ready, you are consistent. Everything else will fail or be unsustainable.
Also learning to be confident and genuinely happy in your skin at every stage, age and size you are.
For women especially, so many things affect our weight. Namely hormones, contraceptives and babies. Self acceptance can have a positive impact to Everything, including weight loss. |

I lived somewhere where we had a 1 euro a day food budget. That was rice and beans. In the end I stopped eating I couldn't have that twice or 3 times a day and absolutely nothing else.
I lost 2 stone in a month. Fortunately I had to be flown home as an emergency for something unrelated. If I ended my contact there I reckon I'd have been really ill.
A loss of 3 stone total whilst away from essentially not eating. That did the trick (for a diet time anyway). |

Loosing weight isn't easy but it's simple! And easier than gaining it but it takes time! 5yrs to put it on 3years to loose it. 5 mars bars a day for 5yr stop and eat 4 a day for 6months then 3 for 6months and so on. |
