Who likes them?

What's your favourite?

I'm seeing the new Final Destination soon, anyone seen it?

I can't wait for the new The Conjuring film to be released, looks soooo good! 👹

'It follows' is a film that genuinely gives me the creeps, quite a interesting take on horror.

There was a time during the late 80s that my dad decided to watch ALL the horror films, one after another. And well, being the 80s with only one telly at home that was all we watched.

The Book of the Dead/Evil Dead

All the AmityVille Series

The Exorcist of Course

The Omen

All Nightmare on Elm Street

Poltergeist

Carrie

Psycho

I was traumatised. So I steer clear of horror. More recent ones I’ve seen are The Conjuring and Paranormal Activity. My problem is that I cannot dissociate from the fact that they’re just entertainment and I get really stressed thinking that is going to happen to me so not worth watching really 😂😂😂😂

The only horror film I do love watching is Christine. 🚗 That scene where it rebuilds itself is so good… and sexy to an extent

The boy floating in the air scratching at the window is a classic scene imo

There's 2 similar thread atm:

Scariest movie

And

Best sex scene.

There's one film that covers both - Don't Look Now.

There's a series of excorist sequels, they are not brilliant..but OK, the 3rd one has the same actor that played the priest in the first film.

I iked don't look now. Though I'm not sure if I interpreted the ending correctly.

There was a recent remake of salems lot..it was acceptable I guess, not too bad.

I could talk horror all day..

I really don’t do well with horror/slasher films … I’m jumpy so I’ll squeal, I get sweaty palms and I’m waiting for the jump scare and I don’t enjoy the anxiety!

Yes, I quite enjoyed it but not many people seemed to have watched it. Put me off Airbnbs a bit

My favourite? Can't choose one. In terms of foreign films, Thirst, The Host, Dumplings (from the Three Extremes), Rec, Train to Busan and Under The Shadow. Oh and Let the Right One in!

I have a soft spot for vampire and A24 films, Romero, folklore gives me a wide on and the recent Invisible Man? So good. I quite like indie horror (Host was such a Covid horror and one I go back to for easy watching).

Not watched Final Destination yet but I feel I should. Sinners won sadly and if I go back to the cinema? I'm rewatching Sinners.

It's not the most original film, but I thought it was very well done.

couple, us we him her.

The Grudge was the only film we've watched in recent memory that actually scared us the first time we watched it, all the paranormal activity crap, scary dolls and so on...

Nonsense.

Lot's start off good but lose their way quickly, Jeepers Creepers for example.

Much prefer older films atmospheric and moody even if the effects are extremely dated.

A very old black and white film Night of the Demon is a great film.

Don't bother it's absolutely awful, managed about 20mins and turned it off, utter shambles of a film.

Ok ,so Longlegs.

It's slow and yes boring at times, bleak and very disturbing but I give it 9/10 based on a truly amazing performance by Nicolas Cage, just so creepy and weird.

I found the first hour utterly boring and nearly turned it off. At least the last 20 minutes were good

Yes it's a slow film.

It was refreshing to see something original tho and very different to the usual nonsense.

Love horror films. Tend to prefer slasher/jump scare ones. First ones that come to mind are The Descent, Hostel, Wolf Creek, Creep.

Used to really enjoy them growing up - Nightmare on Elm Street etc, but I think that was the fun of watching them in a group with my sisters and cousins.

But I'm not sure I've seen a horror film since The Blair Witch Project and really don't enjoy them now!

Give me a rom com anyday! 🤣

There was a sequel to the shining also called 'Dr sleep' with ewan mcgregor playing the son of Jack Nicholsons character, as an adult.

Wasn't amazing, but wasn't bad I thought. Passable.

There's an old black and white horror called ' carnival of souls' from the 50s or 60s. I think that's a very good horror film, quite ahead of its time.

The Omen (Gregory Peck), Left hand drive, Elephant (Alan Parker), Doodle bug (short film). All filmed in this country and very close to home.

It's ambiguous, but....the scariest film for anyone on two wheels, is the one that features rainbows. You know, the ones caused by diesel spillages.
