All over

The free one I mean. Have you got one and love it? Are you close to getting one and can't wait? Are you like me a bit disappointed that you are not near to getting one yet? And if you have or having one soon, what was/will be the first place you have a free ride too?

Bolton

I have one due to my failing eyesight and it’s limited to local areas so it’s not as good as one would think. Few years to go yet before I get the big one 😂

Central

I assume that the age for retirement and bus passes will continue to increase, putting them forwards, like a carrot, dangling in front of me, in perpetuity

We both have one. They save a fortune in local parking charges but if you want to go further than about five miles it involves changing buses on a timetable that means you will be 3 minutes too late for one connection and 30 minutes too early for another. I

If you're happy to spend hours travelling you can visit a lot of different places.

Since regularly using public transport I have realised how inefficient and time consuming it is for passengers.

The first place I had a free ride to was the town centre.

In the west.

I get mine this year. I think we can use them in the train at a reduced rate but I need to find out more about that.

You're lucky we had to wait until we were 66.

In some areas you can use them on local trains apparently but not where we live. I've bought a senior rail card so I'm now properly old

Yes we are. I know a few people who use it to go to work.

I have a rail pass that gives me 20% off and at certain times of the year you can get a return fare for £17 anywhere in Scotland, you can return up to a month after the outward journey.

Yes it is. It’s usually outwith the main holiday periods as well so the trains aren’t as busy.

Nottingham

I have one but I’ve never used it. I prefer to use my EV. I have a Senior Railcard that I’ve used a few times on my trips to London.
