I have noticed that someone who often appears on my “see who’s near” has been 19 years old for the past 4-5 years. I can see from their profile why they may be lying, but I wonder how common it is?
Do people lie to get around age restrictions? I guess there is no way of fab actually checking age unless through photo ID, which would drive many people away. |

I'm not sure how that happens as isn't it tied to the date of birth you enter. I understand that it's easy to enter a false DOB, but it can only be changed once so I'm not sure how someone stays the same age for several years. Unless of course this person is creating new accounts all the time. |

Very very common. Both pretending to be older and pretending to be younger. I dislike it but understand why they do it. I'm ok if they lie on the profile but come clean before we meet but I dislike liars and it will make me distrustful if they turn up for a social looking different from what I expect. |

I’m assuming the lower age number is to pretend they’re ‘virginal’ or have an OF account? Does said person delete their account a lot & rejoin straight away? Could be a 60 year old guy just getting his rocks off.
The age lying usually happens at the higher end, not long after I joined here, a guy who said was in their 40’s & clearly they weren’t when we met for coffee, using pictures that were 10/15 years old at least. Rookie mistake.
If somebody is genuinely interested, a quick video call is all it’ll take if you have any doubts.
Nobody really wants to disclose their drivers license to a website, I hate doing it when I goto the clubs, I’m clearly over the age limit & don’t see why my drivers license is photocopied, but I’m assuming it’s for safety reasons.
Just block the accounts you think are fake |

Keeps deleting profile every now and then, makes a new profile, asks old verifications to reverify. |

I think site supporters can change date of birth a few times?? |

It seems like you’ve taken quite a note of that profile OP 🤣

Yeah I assume they want to appear less experienced as a younger age would play into some of the kinks on their profile. |

Of course they do.
The odd year I don't mind but anything more...
A few years ago now I met someone for a social. He did the whole guess my age thing. I did. Apparently you're meant to go along with their Fab age. |

"I'm sure a lot of people do this. Had some messages off guys who look about 15 years older than age given and so I do challenge it, not as in like show me your Birth Certificate ha!"
Why not. Birth certificates must be attached with first message or you’ll be blocked! |

Some shave years off their age because of filters, it's the same for men and women. It seems over 50 you're past it
The same for younger. I had a message from a guy that has 40 as his age. He was actually 32 which is younger than my minimum age filter.

There is someone near me in their 50’s who has their profile age set to 30, complete with photos from around 15 years ago.
It angers me for multiple reasons - but mostly because it’s very predatory and creepy. What kind of person does that?
I’ve reported to admin but they didn’t do anything. |

I found a profile a while back of someome claiming to be 24, but they had verifications from 2016 which would have meant they were under age when they joined fab. I called them out on it and they blocked me |

In a few years I'll be 40 and you'll both be 45. Time flies when you're having fun. xx |

Loads of people lie about their age on here, for a variety of reasons. In most cases, it is to get around age filters. And just because you need to put your date of birth when signing up, it doesn't mean it has to be a correct one. |

A variety of reasons? Nah it’s always to mislead other people |

Very common unfortunately, wasted time on socials due to being age fished, it's just pointless and a huge waste of precious time.
Misleading someone into bed to is just revaulting, no matter what lie was used.

It happens loads across all ages and all genders. I've met quite a few men who were older than the age on their profile, for instance.
I think sometimes people change their age for "plausible deniability" too. When I first joined I considered it on the advice of someone, incase someone I didn't want to find me on here did and I could say it's not me if challenged, but I decided it wasn't worth having to explain to someone if I liked them "actually I'm not 30 I'm 35" for example.
It's most worrying when people are young, for obvious reasons, but I have no interest in people that young anyway so I don't tend to come across it. |

It's fine as long as they send their 30 year old self to meets |

I’ve seen a lot of similar examples. They usually leave and rejoin with the same name sometimes on a weekly basis. |

I don't often go much younger tbh, but 27 is my cut off (10 years younger seems plenty enough 😅) |
