What do you think are the benefits/ drawbacks.

I've done socials as a single girl, I had a really good time, people were friendly, made some new friends. If you go in with no expectations other than to meet some friendly people and have a nice social time then they are worth it. Any other connections you make are just a bonus.
Going in expecting your are gonna find someone to have sex with, and you might set yourself up for disappointment. |

If we are saying to people find ways to differentiate yourself from others, then going to them is an immediate way of doing that! |

It can be beneficial in this lifestyle - for some guys at least - to meet people face-to-face and mingle a bit . But it’s by no means essential you can have a lot of fun without engaging with any of that side of FAB.
It can be a lot of effort and cost I’d say it suits people that want or need to be a bit of a social butterfly and have the time and money for it.
It’s a bit like doing conferences. some really great and lead to unexpected things, some are a huge cost and you wonder why you bothered

We love social events, they can be amazing they can also be a little bit awkward if everyone else knows each other already but overall they are an awesome way to get on in fab world as you can pick up some veris, make some connections and future plans if you're lucky x don't go expecting anything and you won't be disappointed x it's just networking and making good friends x if single guys made more of an effort to attend they may have more luck overall x |

Group socials are good. A nice way of making everyone who wants to attend feel welcome and its easier to get talking to people.
Hate socials where you have to prove yourself ( send a picture) when you ask the organiser if you can attend.

Its a good way of meeting new people without feeling any form of pressure to do anything physical.
Theyre really good for new people as well, to hear and learn about the swinger world.
And also, its a good way to get verifications. |

Over my too many years here I've been to quite a few and even organised a few .
Some have been better than others but it's nearly always a good way to meet new people .
As someone else pointed out you should never go expecting more than to meet people.. you also get what you put in. If you make the effort to say hello in general people will chat. If you hide in the corner giving don't approach me vibes , then they may not!

We try to make our local one as often as we can, has always been a great chance to meet and talk with like minded people and learnt a lot from them. It's held in a local pub so also encourages people to be more open to talking as you know that no one is doing so purely in the hope it will go further. |
