I have a media server in my house. It’s an old office pc (act aspire) with an upgraded cpu & added a dedicated gpu (with only 2gb or ram).
It runs free software called Jellyfin and it’s very good. I can access all my music , tv and movies from any device.
While there are some modern films, almost everything is older, generally between the 1970’s to 1990’s. Although I do have a growing collection of movies from the 1950’s and earlier. They are undoubtedly better than modern stuff. I certainly don’t bother with most modern tv.
As for games, I just can’t get interested in modern games generally speaking. Older games have better, more interesting gameplay.
As for music, I don’t think I have anything modern. I can’t think of any album in my collection from after 2010. Modern stuff is just crap! |
