Anyone ever bought anything on the dark web? I had a look and it is all fake ads. People selling credit cards with a £5,000 limit for £500 (obvious scam) £10,000 in counterfeit money, guns, drugs etc. None of it looks genuine. And they all want you to pay with crypto, which i have always thought is a scam. So has anyone ever bought anything and if so how did it go? |

Meds, much cheaper than
Online pharmacy although with sites like India mart now on the white web you can get most stuff without but it still might be in your interest to pay in crypto and use ToR or VPN |

"You think anyone will admit this here ?
The fact you made this post makes you sound like you’re doing something illegal.
I’m not saying that’s the case but this thread is doomed before it began."
Apparently you can get anything on there. I only spent an hour looking and it was mostly drugs and funny money but people claim to have bought mystery boxes with all sorts of weird stuff. They say 90% of websites are on the dark web. That means there must be billions of sites. I wish they would stop all the secrecy and just tell us what is available. As for legal/illegal i don't really care. These words just mean a politician says you either can or can't do something. I don't need a politician to make decisions for me. |

Then you don’t know what it is you’re looking at exactly.
Take the credit card one - that is a card that’s been cloned potentially, £5,000 limit and the thieves are selling it for £500, it’s cost them next to zero to clone that card so they’re up £500.
Fake money - Fraud opportunity, guns - they’ll be as real as they can get, drugs - that’a what the dark web is designed for.
Payments in crypto? Untraceable to an extent but once it gets sent through multiple exchanges and wallets, it’s gone.
My advice to you, as a security professional, make sure you have a damn good reason for visiting the dark web, and I mean a damn GOOD reason for doing so, those nodes in and out are monitored by law enforcement and you don’t know which ones have been compromised. So unless you’re up to something illegal, get out, stay out, and don’t use it again. |

The dark web is for criminals and perverts, that's why it's called the Dark Web. If you've been looking on it I would question your morals and intentions... |

Yeah seeking out the dark web seems like a recipe for disaster. |

But why would they sell a card for £500 when they could withdraw or spend the full amount themselves? My interest came from youtube. People claim to be buying mystery boxes which contain some very weird stuff. I wouldn't buy anything unless i know what i am getting and crypto has always seemed like a scam to me. |

I wouldn’t even know how to get on it never mind try & buy something on it! & I assume it’s called the dark web because that’s what it is & it’s dangerous |
