Dubai & Nottingham

It’s almost always Spag bol with bruschetta , capreese salad & garlic bread or mutton dhansak with Afgani rice and paratta. My kids joke that I only know how to cook two things

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

Blimey, had to think there, as it's 4 years since someone came here for dinner. I made a smoked salmon and asparagus risotto.

The same person is coming for dinner in a fortnight. Will have to think of something to make.

Depends on the time of year. Autumn/winter would be chilli, baked potatoes, potato hash, stews roast dinners etc.

Spring summer would be BBQ, salads, rasta pasta, picky bits/British tapas etc.

Roast dinner because its pretty much the only thing all my family will eat happily...

Otherwise we'd all be eating different meals. So generally going out or takeaway in reality

I like to cook new things so guests nearly always get my experimental dishes. I leave my go to dishes for every day.

Reading

I can't remember the last time I cooked at home for guests. That is another item on the long list of why I'm getting divorced.

But when I last cooked for me and the fwb, it was a tomato and bacon gnocchi, really easy and quick to make but tastes fabulous. And if I can be bothered, I'd make the gnocchi myself as well.

Secret hideaway in the pennines

As I love to experiment with food, sometimes it will be Italian, sometimes French or Indian.

If I know they don't like that type of food, classic british

If someone came over I'd likely order a takeaway. I'm no good at cooking for people.
